It was nice to find such a nice place to stay in such an out of the way location. The room was small but comfortable. There is a nice exercise room that I unfortunately didn't get a chance to use. Checking in at the adjacent diner was awkward, as was walking into the hotel that did not have a front... More

This Hotel was a very neat place to stay. It was out in the middle of nowhere. Service was very nice and friendly. We had been on the road for quite awhile. The room was very quit and clean. Very nice place to stay. They even had a Diner that was good. I can't say enough. We would stay there... More

This is an older hotel but clean. Since it was in the middle of nowhere it was great that they had a diner attached to the hotel. It was great we didn't have to ride our motorcycles to get something to eat. But beware this place in Kansas can have very bad storms. When in the diner a terrific storm... More

Sharon Springs has about 800 folks, so don't look for a 5 star hotel. The Oaktree is a bit worn and the upper floors are reserved for Rail Road workers who come and go all night. However the work crews did not disturb us with noise or other problems. Accepts pets, but nearest pet area is across a hot parking... More

Expected better from Oak Tree after stopping last night in Marrysville KS. This hotel would need serious upgrading to make Motel 6 standards. Drive on down the road. Hotel appearance is shabby. Room door required a solid shoulder to open. Drive on down the road.

Thank god there was a room available on a very cold snowy night! Nice rooms, quaint diner with great food! Was a ways off of I-70 but great place to land in a snowstorm. So glad they were there and very easy to find right off main highway.

Great room, clean, and comfortable. Kind of different since there is no lobby, check in at the diner which is right there. Received a voucher to use in the diner therefore reducing the price even more.

Our rooms were quiet and clean, but very basic. The air conditioner didn't work. We were told we didn't get the advertised free breakfast because we used AAA. When we went to the dinner the next morning to purchase breakfast, we found them out of most of the menu items. Next time we will return to the Best Western in... More

An alternative for I-70 across eastern Colorado and western Kansas led us to US-40, a really pleasant and less-traveled route. The Oak-Tree Inn in Sharon Springs was in a convenient location for an overnight stop, and provided an adequate night's rest, at a rate somewhat less than we could find at better-known name brand lodging along the interstate. Price includes... More
