The key card did not work the first time... I had to go back down to the desk and have it activated. The towels smelled as if they hadn't been washed very well. My room was next to the elevator so I had to listen to the ding-ding of the bell each time the elevator door opened and guests trundled... More

Stopped in Salina on our way to Colorado. Nice surprise in the middle of Kansas. Nice update on the rooms. We had a King room on the first floor going to Colorado and a Suite going home. Both rooms were very comfortable. Only things I found unusual in the suite was that the desk and chair were located in the... More

Nice enough La Quinta (and they allow pets which is why we always try to stay at La Quinta) but for some reason the sheets were EXTREMELY itchy (they must have started using a cheaper laundry soap). Also, the smoking area is right outside the front door so whenever you go in and out expect to be smothered in cigarette... More

I can't say enough about this La Quinta. My husband and I are not normally fans of LaQuinta Inns, but after the stay at the Salina facility, we may check out more hotels in this chain. The rooms were nicely updated and very clean. The staff was extremely helpful. The best part is there was not even a charge for... More

We arrived after driving from Austin, Texas. The front desk was welcoming and friendly and we asked about dinner. They told us about a great Italian resteraunt downtown, and gave us directions to it. Fabulous meal -- who knew - wonderful authentic Italian in Salina, Ks. We travel with a small dog and they were very accommodating to the animal.... More

The desk clerk upon check-in was friendly and welcoming. The hotel seemed nice and clean. The hallways were well lit. Upon entering the elevator though we felt it could us some updating and I wondered if this was a sign of what our room would be like. Arriving at our door I noticed that someone had pried at our door... More

Why bother putting a tiny plastic coffee maker in a king room with a single serving of reg and one of decaf? Sticky substance on floor. Large gap under door which made for a noisy morning as guests talked and laughed while waiting for the elevator, which was sorely in need of cosmetic upgrade. Water in tub took half hour... More

We arrived after driving for many hours and were looking for a good nights rest. The hotel clerk was very kind and helpful when we arrived. It was late and we asked where we should eat. There was a 24 hour diner across the street. After dinner, we returned to the hotel and we could tell that this hotel was... More

Recently remodeled, spacious rooms. Best breakfast of the trip. Your basic roadside motel, but nicely done, fair rates.

On a trip from Missouri to Colorado we stayed the night at the La Quinta Inn in Salina, KS. We could not ask for more, and hospitality fantastic. Their breakfast bar included Biscuits, and Gravy, Cheese omelets, waffles, bagels, fresh fruit, and much more
