Went to 'AMValue' and they were very rude, so I left, Lucky me. Went next to the Rodeway Inn. Lovely room, staff was congenial and most helpful. It is right off an I-70 exit so 'easy on' in the morning. Next time I am going down I-70 past Salina I will be staying at the Rodeway Inn.

My wife and I stayed here based on the reviews and comparative costs with nearby hotels. Other reviews are on the mark about first appearances and the closed businesses in front of the place. Night clerk was a little crusty, but eventually warmed up and was very helpful after I persisted in being friendly towards him. He honored the best... More

My wife and I stayed at the Rodeway in Salina, KS on April 27, 2013. I recognized that it has been converted from some other motel company, but it was surprisingly nice. The carpet in the large room had been replaced. You could tell that it was an older building, but the electrical system must have been upgraded as there... More

I chose to stay at this Rodeway Inn because they were listed in the guide of a prominent travel agency. From the road, the property appears that its best days are behind it, with the Bombay Club and an old Texaco station in front of the property closed. However the guest rooms themselves are in really good shape, most likely... More

The rooms here are great...large, clean and new beds with wonderful pillows. The staff was so helpful. Breakfast needs fruit and yogurt but has biscuits, gravy, juice and cereal. The motel looks great from the outside too but the vacant restaurant and gas station in front of it pull down the overall looks of the place. But I reiterate, the... More

Price was great ($50 for three of us). The room was fine - bed was good, everything clean. Bathroom was unacceptable - window leaked and we were there during a winter storm allowing cold air and water spray to come through. Better go early for breakfast (we went at 8:15) - fruit was gone (if it was there to begin... More

Let me begin by saying that this motel is nothing to write home about. But, having said that, I've got nothing but praise for the staff. We showed up at the motel around 1:00 AM beyond any natural limits of tired and was pleasantly surprised by what welcomed us. The rooms were clean, the showers were perfect (after having been... This is a nice and very large space that is being improved as we speak. We were in a newly refurbished room and overall it was quite nice. There were a few little details that we wrote off to the work in progress. (They lacked extra coffee supplies and there was a brief problem with the icemaker.) The staff was... More

8/12/12 If you need a room for the night while traveling on I-70, or while in the Salina area, this is a reasonable place and not too bad. Room was clean and surrounding facility was maintained well. Down side is you hear about everything. Maybe that comes with a door facing the parking lot type of setup but if you're... More

This is the type of motel I would stay at for a quick o/n stop, it was clean and the staff was nice. The night we stayed a group of kids were staying there and I had to yell at them at 1am to stop yelling (in the parking lot). The gentleman at the front desk the next morning was... More
