When traveling with our young kids, we prefer to stay in suite style hotels, primarily so that we can put them to bed in one room and be able to stay awake in the other room until we're ready to hit the sack. The suites at the AmericInn fit the bill perfectly, with that specific setup - a separate bedroom... more

Having stayed in many hotels in the Hays to Russell, KS area during our trips across KS I can honestly say this is one of the better places to stay. We used the 1-800 number for reservations and that didn't go well. I specified a non-smoking room and when I arrived all they had were suites and smoking rooms. The... more

After stopping in several other I-70 towns and finding everything booked, we ended up here in Russell. It's kind of a "nothing" town just off I-70 but we were thrilled to find vacancy. The staff was awesome, the continental breakfast was really nice....even an omelette bar made to order. The beds were comfy, the rooms were clean.....can't ask for more.... more

We were overly impressed with this hotel. It was very clean, had wonderful amenities. This hotel seems like the "hub" of the town. Very warm and welcoming....large variety of items for breakfast, for which we were very thankful. more

I stayed at this motel for one night in a spacious, clean, well-appointed Jacuzzi suite for $105 per night. Easily accessed from I-70 and close to area restaurants. The continental breakfast included all the typical items found in motels plus an omlet bar and cook who made omlets to each guests specifications. A nice, comfortable stay in western Kansas...will use... more

Stayed here one night and room was very clean. They gave me a handicap room which does not have a tub. You have to use a shower and stand on a tile floor which I do not like. It is designed for a wheelchair. If I stay at this chain again, I would request a regular room. I would use... more

This is a very well run motel. The room was clean, recently decorated, well maintained and QUIET. The breakfast provided was OUTSTANDING. In addition to much of what has become normal (waffles, cold cereal, biscuits and gravy, fruit, etc) the motel also offered omelets made on a gas grill to your specifications. I have never seen that at the many... more

I stayed here for one night with my family while we were on our way to Colorado. We really liked the hotel. The staff was friendly, and the pool was nice. We also found the rooms to be clean, and it had two queen beds instead of the tiny double beds. I would recommend staying here if you find yourself... more

We stayed here in an snowstorm instead of braving the elements. We loved it! We booked a suite so the kids could have their own space, it was worth it! The pool was clean and BIG, the room was cozy and had a cute little fireplace shaped heater in it. In the morning we had a great breakfast, if we... more

We make an annual ski trip visit to Colorado for Christmas and have stayed at several properties along I-70 in Kansas. We booked one night at the Americinn Russell for December 20th and now have this hotel at the top of our list. The criteria they met or exceeded included: friendly staff, clean rooms, great pool for the kids, a... more
