We had a suite, with two double beds & a living room/pull out couch... all for under $100! We loved the room, huge plasma screen tv, safe, refrigerator, nice stylized design to the room, easy access to the pool and lobby. Customer service was fantastic, and the breakfast was free but simple (toast, cereal, bagels, juice). I did enjoy being... more

We stayed at the Hyatt Place over the July 4th weekend, both Friday and Saturday evenings. The hotel accommodations were fantastic. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Rooms were cleaned very timely so when we returned from going out, it was completed. The desk staff could have not been more helpful and pleasant to talk too. They recommended several... more

The location was harder to find than I thought it would be. The staff was just OK. They gave me a 20 second tour and I was on my own. The internet took 2 trips down to the front desk and finally a call to customer service to get online. I wish they would have told me that to begin... more

I always have a great experience at Hyatt Place hotels. I love how they are designed. Service is always great and the rooms are great with comfy beds. Only thing I don't care for is the suburban locations. more

My girlfriend and I stayed here during the Kansas City Royals FanFest. The hotel is very nice, check in with the easy kiosks, and the TV's in the room are some of the best and largest I'd ever seen. High speed internet was great, and the beds and living area was comfy and nicely appointed. There were some annoying families... more

We stay at Hyatt Place hotels everywhere we go for short trips. All rooms are exactly identical at every hotel. If you book on line, you go into the lobby and check yourself in at the kiosk which then gives you your room keys with a reciept with the room number and directions to your room. No standing in line... more

I stayed in this hotel for two nights last weekend and I made the online reservation almost purely based on rate ($). Instead, I can report that our group had one of the best hotel experiences EVER at ANY PRICE. I thought the Hyatt Place was the greatest hotel --again for the price-- that I have ever stayed at, anywhere.... more

I've stayed in this hotel a few times and have generally had good experiences. Last time I stayed, however, my room was not cleaned after the 1st night of a 2-night stay. I didn't voice a complaint, as I had plenty of towels and the hotel seemed exceptionally busy. A noteable concern is that the room smelled badly near the... more

We stayed at the Hyatt Overland Park on July 19, 2008 for 2 nites and it was very nice. The property was well lit at all times and it was easily to get to from the expressway. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. The rate for 2 nites was $230.73 which we thought was excellent for the suite. The... more

In most aspects this hotel is much higher caliber than others in it's price range. (Including the Hyatt Place that is within a few miles on Metcalf.) Priced at 71$/night with AAA, or website discount, it is a "semi-suite" not just a small room. If you are forced to choose between the two, this one is a much better property.... more
