Candlewood Suites prides itself on lower rates. That comes at a cost - no maid service for 8 days. I am a business traveler and require maid service. I also purchased the room at an Internet price so there is no refund. I also do not have the option of daily service even for additional money - as stated by the Corporate Office.

Some people stay at Candlewood for extended time periods. Bedding that is changed every 8 days implies that some person slept on the same pillows and bedding for 8 days before being changed. The smell filters into the bedding and pillows which you have to sleep on for 3-4 nights if you are a normal traveler.

I requested maid service but Management indicated that there is no way they can do this and remain Candlewood Suites as this is not in their genre. They remained consistent - no maid service for 8 days regardless of need. If you spill some sticky soda on the floor, you will walk in it for 8 days until it is cleaned up, get the point... more
