After reading mixed reviews I was hesitant but Jay at the front desk let me see my room (#21) before making a decision. Not white glove clean but certainly OK for overnight. Drive right up to your door which makes it so much easier to load/unload luggage/laptop, etc. Older decor but there was a nice big wall mounted flat screen... More

We've stayed at the Hillcrest a few times while visiting family in the area. It's not the Taj Mahal, but it works for the price. Ac/heating unit is a bit noisy but it drowns out the rest of the outside noises. Tip: ask for extra pillows or bring your own as the ones provided are pretty thin.

Traveling through Norton there is not a huge choice of places to stay. I found the Hillcrest to be accommodating, not new but in good condition, easy parking and clean. This is not the Hyatt but it works fine at a good nightly rate. There is also space to walk your dog or park your trailer. You can stroll across... More

There are few choices in Norton, but I'd recommend avoiding this one. We opted to save money by staying here and regretted it. Smell was horrid, things were ugly and in disrepair. Beds were thin, ancient and uncomfortable. AC was very loud and you can't turn it off or the smell comes back. Shower was very old and towels were... More

Liked: price, clean, table and chairs, parking right outside the door, couldn't hear my neighbors. Tv and wifi worked well. Disliked: bed not firm enough, pillows were low end you could walked to pizza hut, DQ, or subway for dinner. I didn't get creative for food because it was nearing 10pm and I didn't want to miss my window.

This is good motel in a great location near to the highway and a great range of local shops and fast food restaurants.we stopped here for a night and were very happy with the cleanliness of room and the facilities. The free breakfast was limited but it was fine met our every need. The motel also has a small pool... More

I drive a semi in western Kansas and this is one of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in. The rooms look to be freshly painted. Nothing fancy just a fresh room that doesn't make you wish you had kept driving. All for the price or cheaper than some of the dives I have stayed in.

This is an old motel. The room was small with one queen bed. The sheets appeared to either be dirty or they had dried glue on them. Otherwise the room was reasonably clean but just looked dingy and had a baseboard pulled partially off. Towels were small, scratchy and looked old. The price is not high, but for 50.00 plus... More

From the exterior, the Hillcrest Motel isn't much to look at. As you drive by, you may wonder if it's been upgraded since 1960. But, inside is gold. The rooms, albeit petite, were clean and well-stocked. The desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. This is a no-frills-hotel, but it was cheap (I think it was $30 a night) and... More
