This is a working farm specializing in exotic animals. Come with comfy clothes you don't mind a giraffe drooling on. :-) The lodging is nice and relaxed with inside viewing of the kangaroos even at night. Breakfast covered something for everyone and the large gathering room has games. There are a lot of extra features. There are planned tours when... More

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and first anniversary and now we have 2 kids and we're heading back! So excited! Petting and feeding kangaroos is the best part! The Breakfasts were amazing and staff was so friendly!

Was so hoping to be able to use this facility for a family reunion. My first inquiry wasn't received and about 10 emails later I finally understand that it won't work for a small family reunion. The place is set up for tours only with no way to include extra daytime guests that don't stay the night. Only if you... More

Hedrick's Exotic Animal Farm Bed and Breakfast is a unique place to stay - a combination bed and breakfast and farm where they raise exotic animals for petting zoos, living nativity scenes, etc. Our family stayed for one night in August 2013, paying $214.30 total for the Savannah Room. It was easy to get to and parking was easy. There... More

My youngest is loves animals and more specifically camels so we stayed a weekend here mid July. It is a nice bed and breakfast, large working farm, and a lot of animals to play with a feed. My kids are asking when we will go back. We were greeted when we arrived and shown to our room and a quick... More

We went spent the night at Hedrick's this past spring break with our two children and had a good old fashion time. They took very good care of us, great tour with the animals, and very nice breakfast. My 9 year old daughter who loves animals had the best time and still talks about it.

Truly a unique place to stay. We (myself, wife, daughter), stayed in the Pride of Kansas Suite. The room was very large, an unusual combination in that it was bordering on "nice" but also felt a bit like a farmhouse living room. The place is obviously not your typical hotel -- but it is refined enough while maintaining it's small... More

We had so much fun! I've been to Kenya and on safari and I didn't get as up close and friendly with the animals there as what we did here. Nigel the giraffe was amazing. It was obvious these animals are well cared for and loved. They had animals that Wichita zoo doesn't even have - this is much better... More

I'd heard about this little-known jewel from an acquaintance, and it didn't disappoint. If you're heading to Hutch for the Cosmosphere, Salt Museum, or anything else, you won't want to miss Hedricks. Where else could you feed giraffes and kangaroos and watch camels, zebras, a zedonk, alpacas, ostriches, a really cool hybrid peacock and tons of other exotic creatures, while... More
