I had a great experience at Springhill Suites for the 5 nights I stayed there. The staff were attentive and accommodating from reservations to check-out. The rooms were large, newly refurbished and had the most comfortable bed I have ever had in a hotel room. Aside from one night, the room was kept very clean by staff. There was railway... more

I just completed a stay with my family for the weekend. I am a Marriott Platinum and this was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. We arrived with no staff to be found to check us in. A sign was left at the front desk to call 0 on the house phone to get assistance. We called... more

Clean, nice room. Regular (not management level in other words) staff helpful. Seems that staff could be happier, wonder if management has a lack of experience in running the overall motel and working with their staff, doesn't seem to be a very "happy" place overall. Breakfast area clean and well stocked. Very nice breakfast. Internet was horrible. Worse than any... more

I loved the location of this hotel in Lawrence! This is 1 of 2 hotels in downtown Lawrence and is within walking distance to all of the stores in the downtown area. The rooms provide great views of the Kansas River and the beds are by far the most comfortable I have stayed in - I am the GM of... more

This was our second stay at SpringHill in Lawrence and I have a couple comments to make. First of all, as it has been said before in previous reviews there is an active railroad mainline (BNSF) that runs right by this hotel. Just out of sight on the opposite side of the river is a second active railroad mainline (UP.)... more

My husband and I stayed here overnight after taking in a musical at KU's Lied Center. It was a bit pricey ($164 + taxes) but worth it for a splurge. We had a suite with a king size bed and a two person jacuzzi. The suite was huge--I would say it was at least 24' x 20'--with high ceilings. The... more

Hospitality was sorely lacking. Heated pool was not heated. Hot tub roped off. Room lacked bedding/sheets for sofa bed. Train noise unbearable. Worst place I've stayed in Lawrence. more

We stayed in a King Suite for one night. The check-in was very friendly and efficient. The hotel is unique as all the rooms are on the north side facing the river. Someone mentioned the river isn't very pretty, but it is very peaceful watching it roll by and one can even spot bald eagles at times. The room was... more

For a last second trip to Lawrence, KS, we looked up area hotels on Tripadvisor to try to find an affordable place to stay with our kids that had an indoor pool and preferably included breakfast as well. The top 2 rated hotels were already booked, but the SpringHill was rated 3rd and we were able to get a 2... more

Really this hotel was just overpriced. There was nothing inherently wrong with it - but for the price I expected a little more. The rooms themselves are clean - and the beds comfortable - but they are nothing special. And it was quite expensive - for the Thursday night it was more than $130 for the night. In a small town... more
