The Oread is my destination hotel in Lawrence. I stay here at least once a year and am never disappointed and I have been coming here for over 4 years. The staff is extremely curtious and knowledgeable. Well done!

Adrineh Mehdikhani- Nick and Monte Asisian We stayed at The Oread on March 29th of 2014, we celebrated my husband's , my son's and my birthday. This was a very generous gift (the hotel stay, dinner and valet parking) from The Oread general manager, Nancy Longhurst after a misunderstanding of a previous restaurant reservation by one of her employees. She... More

We stayed at the Oread while in Lawrence for a college sports event. The Oread is a beautiful hotel reminiscent of a old castle! The views from the rooms and terraces are fantastic. The staff could not have been more attentive and knowledgeable! The rooms are comfortable. The restaurants are excellent. The valet parking is quick and convenient. I would... More

We annually travel to Lawrence for St. Patrick's Day festivities and to visit family. We love the Oread with its stone walls and architectural design. The staff all are excellent and very knowledgeable and courteous. Have never had a bad experience in any facet of our stays for the last three years. Wonderful views from both terraces also. A great... More

I stay at this hotel often, as I travel to Kansas for business several times a year. The hotel is new, and most things work very well. Rooms are quite large with comofortable beds, that make for a very good night of sleep. Bathrooms are quite large and some of the rooms have a separate space for coffee making etc.... More

This is a high end boutique hotel that happens to be located in a college town. Great service, very nice rooms, super fairly priced! If you have to be in Lawrence or even the western KC suburbs, stay here!

We came down for a KU B-Ball game, and although you pay a little extra for the room, it is worth the convenience of being on campus, and a short walk to Mass street. The hotel is clean, with an amazing view from the rooms and up on the roof. The Bird Dog bar is great, and the shuttle bus... More

Spent one night on a romantic getaway. We usually stay in chain hotels while driving cross-country, so we wanted to spring for something special. Lobby is gorgeous. Location is right on the edge of KU campus, close to downtown. Great bar on main floor. Mandatory valet park, which is fine, but there's not much of a sidewalk when you leave... More

This is our second stay at the Oread. We visited for a KU basketball game with our two elementary age children. The hotel itself is beautiful. The hotel and rooms were clean and spacious. Beds are decent and comfortable. However, they went cheap on any type of soundproofing between the walls - essentially none. Be prepared that if your room... More

It beautifully designed with character and style. My room was large with lots of extras. The restaurant downstairs had great food, the service was excellent, the staff friendly and... More
