We ended up at the Chateau Avalon on Memorial day weekend because it was the only room that wasn't at an economy hotel we could find at the last minute. I thought it might be fun because we were celebrating an anniversary When we arrived the exterior of the hotel looked nice enough and we went into the small lobby... More

this was such a neat place to stay. We stayed in the president Lincoln, all the other rooms were booked. It was such a neat room. The wine bar is the place to go. We went outside, and realized the place was full of couples. It was so nice and serene. We even talked with other couples, some were going... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here with the Spring Fling special, where you stayed one night during the week for 50% off the regular price. We stayed in the Roman Dynasty room the Sunday night before Memorial Day. The normal price was $249 and we paid $145 to stay there. It was a nice enough room, but definitely NOT $250... More

I realize everyone has their own opinions but we found Chateau Avalon to be fantastic. I have traveled around the world and stayed in 5 star hotels to rural farms B&B's. Yes, you can pick anything apart or just enjoy the experience. I choose the latter. It was better than I expected! We were very pleased. Will stay again and... More

I surprised my husband for his 60th Birthday with a stay in the Camelot Suite. He is from England. I told him we couldn't take a trip to England so I brought England to him! A knight in shining armor and a draw bridge. Take a wonderful bath in King Arthur's Boat with flaming torches. This is such a unique... More

We booked the Chateau Avalon in hopes of a special experience. From the outside, it looks like a classic, European-style inn. Inside, it's Disney World. The rooms are "themed" in a way that might appeal to children, it's totally hokey. Fake murals, mache columns. We booked the Roman but it was so dark, cold and awkwardly decorated - the "table"... Aside from the fact that items were stolen from our room by housekeeping while a "Do Not Disturb" sign was securely in place, I will give this an honest review. Stayed here over a busy race weekend with my husband. The layout of the rooms make absolutely no sense. The tubs are placed in the middle of the tiny rooms... More

Stayed in one of their smaller suites for $119 on a Friday (special rate - see below). I was satisfied with the stay and the value. I do not think this hotel is worth the HIGH normal rates ... but if you can get a deal like I did, it is worth it. The bed was comfy. The in room... More

I am a single male married to my work, I spent 3 nights at this hotel as a getaway/chance to decompress. I stayed in the Mayan Rain Forest one night and the Serengeti suite the next two. I stayed during the midweek and it was not busy at all, very quiet and tranquil. Would definitely recommend trying to stay outside... More

So, my wife and I wanted to get away, but we didn't want to have to travel too far. The Chateau Avalon looked different, and it was about an hour drive, so we decided to stay in the Egyptian room. It was cute, had a great jetted tub, but it could have been a bit nicer, I guess. We will... More
