What motel doesn't have curtains to keep the light out of your room? Value Place only has miniblinds on the window. I was up there for Country Stampede, so I didn't get back to my room until around midnight. I had planned on sleeping in, but at 5:30 the next morning I was woke up since the room was so... More

Where to start our room smelled like beef jerky, it was clean, and it did have a kitchen area. Had to pay for wifi, claimed to have free wifi but I needed an acess code, front desk wouldn't give it to me. Our plans changed and we wanted to check out early and couldn't no one was at the front... More

I've had two "extended" stays here and it's ok, it's the best place you'll find for that price in JC. If you made your reservations via Priceline or a website like it prepare to have "problems." They had us in the wrong kind of room for the wrong amount of time both times. My in-laws had trouble with their reservations... More

It is what it is supposed to be. Good location with a Walmart very close as well as numerous dining options. A bit expensive for what you get but this is a niche operation. It does not have an excessive amount of traffic or noise at night.

We stayed here for a week in July of 2012, while waiting for a closing. This is an extended stay type of hotel, and that is what you should expect. It is nothing fancy, but in Junction City and Manhattan it is unrealistic to be too picky. I was a little anxious about the place, and even more anxious about... More

Listen, I want to give an honest review of this place as I have never stayed at a VP hotel before and we consider ourselves to be somewhat of hotel snobs.... I found myself and my family stuck in JC for an extended time with no place to stay. Anyone who has looked around this area carefully will tell you... More

My husband was getting ready to deploy so we decided to book a room a month and a half in advance for the last week he had before he left. We moved everything out of our apartment in Manhattan and slept on the floor for a night. The next day after work we headed to Value Place in Junction City.... More

They don't answer their phone on the weekends. They won't even pick up if you call their emergency number. Took over 3 hours to to get someone to fix my key. Other people in my company have had the same problem. One was locked out for an entire weekend. High speed internet is a joke. Bugs, thin walls, and the... More

I am outraged at the deceitfullness of Value Place (Junction City, KS) . I had reserved online, a room 3 weeks prior to my stay, with a comfirmation number, which required my charge card number, only to find out when I arrived they didnt have my reserved 2 bed room. The women who was trying to check in prior to... More

We expected to stay for a couple of weeks back in July 2010 but it turned into well over a year. Sade, John and her wonderful cleaning ladies: Tanya and Crystal were all amazing, friendly and courteous! We felt like they were family even when we left in Nov 2011 to move into a bigger place. Clean, comfortable, home environment.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Value Place is a much better place Before you decide to stay at Value Place, we want you to be prepared—prepared for a better guest experience. What that means to us is a truly affordable, incredibly clean, safer, simple, flexible experience. And this is more than just a nice idea—it’s the Value Place promise. So how do we do it? By combining all the convenience of a hotel and all the essentials of an apartment. We’re a hybrid—and that makes us better than a hotel, an apartment or any other short-term or long-term housing accommodations you’ll find. Think about it—no extras padded into our price, no hidden fees. No lease to sign, no utilities to set up. And that’s just for starters. Find out how we’re different and what to expect when you’re here. What to expect when you arrive After a brief room tour, you’ll register, pay for the week plus a refundable $100 deposit, and agree to our house rules—which basically come down to common-sense policies that protect the privacy and security of each and every guest. Value Place is a family-friendly place, and children 17 and under stay free. ... more   less
