Room was very small and dingy. Smallest television in the world. Staff were rude. Hotel was paid by someone else; so I guess for free it's worth it. A ripoff for $69. Save your money and stay at the Red Roof Inn or Super 8 . This hotel has zero charm, and should be condemned. The breakfast consisted of stale... more

It's always interesting when you stay in a historic property! This place was built more than 100 years ago, and when you stay in a place like this, if your expectation is new construction, this is not the place for you! I laughed at the other review about hearing things. This is a place that is over 100 years old... more

My Wife and I have stayed at the Hotel Josephine two or three times a year since 1988. We always booked in advance, and had the second floor front corner suite, overlooking the church. We stayed at this historic inn in December of 05 and had a great time. The staff had the hotel beautifully decorated and it made me think of a Norman Rockwell holiday painting. This inn is undergoing renovation, the refinished rooms look great but still retain a historic flair. We were told by management that the upper floor will tie... more

We just stayed here for the first time. I didn't think the wife of the owner was very friendly, but he was. She didn't let us choose our room, like he said we could. The heater didn't work - - it just blew cold air. The room was very clean and decorated great, but not very sound proof. We could... more
