We had a marvellous day at the Libassa Lodge! The beach is the most beautiful I have seen in Liberia. But the lagoon side is also very pretty and it is easy to swim there. The water is crystal clear. The buffer lunch was great with Liberian specialities. I will definitely be back!!!

What a surprise to find an oasis of calm, botanical gardens, lovely pool area, gorgeous beach and a delectable lunch buffet just 30 mins from Monrovia. The owners are a charming family with a dream for an ecological resort. Libassa certainly ticks the boxes for me. I was here on numerous occasions from Nov 2014 - Jan 2015. Hope to... More

Whilst working in Liberia, I had the opportunity of going to this location several times, and each time it was fantastic, and if I was to go back to the country again I would defo visit again. Great. I did not stay overnight on any occasion, but just went for Sunday day trips. Service for Liberia is much better than... More

We lived in Liberia for 18 months and midway through we wanted a weekend away so we ran away (45 minutes from downtown Monrovia) to the Ecolodge. It is secluded with it's own private beach that is clean and you can walk for miles and miles and never see another person. Each room is half of a hut. It is... More

Beautiful Quiet Hide/Getaway in Liberia. Near the Airport. Quiet, Still, Peaceable, Beautiful and more. It has all of the accommodations that you need. You can also swim in the Pool or the Lagoon, you choose! It's safe and beautiful! If you like being in the woods in a sirens atmosphere with running water and electricity then you'd love this place.... More

Even though there are small bandas (houses) to stay in, my husband and I went for a day trip to enjoy the pool, beach and lagoon. Yes, at this wonderful little diamond in the rough, you can choose between staying poolside, taking a small trek down to the ocean where there are beach chairs, umbrellas and a small hut selling... We arrived at Libassa to find a welcoming staff, clean rooms in beautifully built palava huts. The curving swimming pool with it's plam-tree island and relaxing chairs are a great place to relax an afternoon away. The dinners were delectable and the activities (hikes, kayaking, bocce ball, etc. were fun. This place is run by a lovely husband (Rudolph) and... More

Wonderful place to rest in Liberia before leaving to ROB airport next moring. Good food and possibility to nice swim in lagoon, sea or pool. You make take a game of snooker on a bar and monkey named Jack keeps you good company if you smoke, as there is one place to smoke and Jack's area is next to it.... More

Big improvement on road in past year but I would recommend 4x4 just in case. Western Africa heavy rain can happen and ruin a road quickly. Many different plant species along nice walking paths. Excellent way to see what grows in Liberia bush without getting all banged up.. so many plants to see. Paths also go through bush so pleaty... More

A lovely getaway in Liberia, on a beautiful location in a palm forrest between the sea and a lagoon. You sleep in wooden palaver huts made from local materials by people from the community. They are eco and environmental friendly by using locally made products, furniture, solar heating, recycling waste, etc. They have a great pool with sun beds but... More
