Myself and other family members had 5 rooms at this hotel in May to attend NIU graduation. Our rooms were on the 9th floor and they all had been recently redecorated also the hallway had been redecorated. The staff was helpful and the free breakfast was good. You also recieve free parking in the Convention Center parking garage which you... more
The other reviews were either wrong, or the hotel has changed drastically. I went there expecting the worse after reading the other reviews. We had booked the room as part of a wedding party with the wedding rate. Upon arrival the service was great, we were given a nice room, and rollaway. The beds were a little small, but they... more
I have stayed at this Ramada two times during the past 4 months and have never had any major problems. It's your basic hotel, nothing special but nothing terrible. During my most recent visit it appears as if they were remodoling at least one floor of rooms. The staff is average. Not overly friendly, but not rude. Housekeeping during my... more
We stayed at the Ramada for one night (Saturday) through a wedding block. What drew us to make this choice was we were travelling with 2 dogs - and they allow pets in any room (not just smoking rooms, which was our other option at other hotels.) This is the one positive point I can say about the hotel. It... more
Hotels in eastern Iowa are busy these days with flood victims, construction workers and other restoration people. Well, this Ramada in Waterloo was not and there were many reasons. This place is very tired, out-dated and in bad condition. The lobby, the hallways and the public places are all in poor shape. The rooms were actually ok but housekeeping could... more
I called to get a reservation for my friends wedding, the first lady didn't know how to access the wedding block information so she told me the manager would be calling me the next day. I ended up calling back the next day because I never received a call, the manager wasn't doing a good job communicating what the issue... more
We stayed here for a relative's wedding in the convention center across the street. We will not be staying here again-- the rooms are outdated, dingy, and in need of a good update. The bedding is worn-- our large king-sized mattress sloped so profoundly to one side that we found it hard to sleep without rolling to one side. The... more
We have made several updates to our hotel. Some of these update include new mattresses & A/C most of the hotel rooms. We are replacing the hallway carpeting and wallpaper. Please stop by and see our great improvements.
This hotel had bad service and is in need of an update. The hotel room was very old looking and not in the best shape. I would consider this more of a motel 6 by the rooms. Also there were a lot of drunk teens in the hallways and I had to call security 3 times because of banging on... more
Hotel is dated and old. Furniture, bedding is worn out. Would not recommend staying here. more
