This was the only hotel available when my family was passing through Waterloo. From the website, it sounded all right. It was not. We stayed one night, and left first thing in the morning. My wife and I agreed this was not a good place for us or the children, but it was the only hotel available. I have one... more

We booked this hotel for weekend getaway and were not familiar to the area. Before our trip I had reviewed some past guests opinions, and decided to proceed with an open mind as reviews were mixed. We were able to check-in early which was a bonus as we wanted to "settle-in" before taking in the local attractions. The hotel staff... more

Unfortunaately, this customer was looking to pay as little as they can for a room by stating the hotel needs updating. The entire hotel was renovated from brand new carpet in all guestrooms to new bedding to new TV's & some furniture in 2007. It is wrong and unethical to provide fictious comments when extensive renovations was done.

I booked the hotel through Hotels.com for another couple and ourselves. The site stated "adjacent to the Isle Casino" and was rated three stars. When we were unable to find to find it anywhere nearby, we phoned the hotel and were told "that naughty website, I don't know why they say that". The hotel was at least five miles from... more

Worst hotel stay ever- no hot water, elevator didn't work, keys didn't work, room unclean, leftovers from last guest, unprofessional staff, dirty lobby. I complained the night before about it not being clean--they did nothing about it. We had the honeymoon suite and it was awful. I would suggest staying somewhere else. more

No complaints about the hotel itself. However, the hotel is located in downtown Waterloo, which is extremely run-down. The only businesses open after five in the afternoon are "dive" bars surrounding the hotel. I thought downtown Sioux City was bad, but downtown Waterloo is much worse. more

The hotel itself is ok. It is old, as evidenced by the exposed piping around the whole hotel. In fact, due to the layout of the hotel, it kind of feels like you are in a large old passenger ship. The rooms themselves were actually pretty decent, the wireless internet worked well, the tv was a 27", and overall the... more

Stayed one night for business and was immediately turned off by the smoke-filled lobby. Unfortunately, the hour was late and this was the only hotel available in the area. There were no non-smoking floors, so the hallways and, of course, the non-smoking rooms smelled of smoke. Parking at hotel is rather limited (I got the last spot for the night).... more

Stayed at this location on business and was not to thrilled with being downtown location. The staff was fantastic, was upgraded to a 2 room suite, high speed internet connection and comfortable bed....what more can you ask for? Very reasonably priced! more
