Stayed here for a couple of nights, just before Christmas. Menu in the restaurant was varied and interesting, the delivery from the kitchen matched the expectation. A great result at a busy time of the year, so pleasing to note that standards did not slip. The accommodation in blocks of lodges behind the old Inn building, were all looking well... More

We had a nice overnight stay here, clean, good service, very good food at the restaurant. i really liked the family feel and the way the place is run. i would recommend this for people who dont like chain hotels and prefer something more personal.

I have eaten at The Black Horse a few times. The welcome is always warm, the staff are always friendly and the food is extremely delicious. The choice of wine and ales is fantastic. It is just a little pricey though. Which is the only thing that stops me from eating there more often.

We stayed here for one night. Accommodation was great. Large modern room en suite. Very clean and warm. The Black Horse Inn is wonderful. Open fires and truely everything that an English pub should be. The staff are very nice. Genuinely friendly and helpful. Well worth the money and breakfast superb.

We booked a Saturday night here as building work was being carried out at home over the weekend. Quite easy to find down the narrow dark lanes on the peaceful North Downs. The chalet style accommodation down the hill from the pub was ideal, all named after country plants. Our en-suite room was warm, quiet and spacious. Breakfast, included in... More

We stayed here for an initial 3 nights as a base for visiting relatives in the Maidstone area in August. The rooms aren't in the pub itself but were in a separate accommodation only 30 or so metres from the rear of the pub. The rooms were pleasant, clean and spacious. Certainly all that we needed. The pub had great... More

We visited the Black Horse Inn to celebrate a 60th Birthday. We found the accommodation warm, clean and comfortable and the only thing I can say we missed in our room was fresh milk. The breakfasts were superb, the staff friendly and efficient and the evening meal was very good. The only disappointment was that they close the rooms in... More

Having booked a table over a month ago for my friends bday we turned up they denied all knowledge of the booking even though I'm really particular when booking such things we ordered drinks 30 minutes later no sign of drinks over a hour later we eventually got to a table then was told there was no aubergine starter so... We stayed for a Friday and Saturday night, based on the fact that the Inn was near to Leeds Castle which we wish to visit and also to do the North Downs Way/Pilgrim Way walk. We had one of the cabins up very near to the Inn, called ‘Rose’. We found the room clean, quite light and modern. We were... More

We stayed here for four nights end of September. All staff were very helpful, check-in very straight forward and we were made welcome. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The only downside regarding the rooms is that they are not attached to the pub by a covered walkway,(umbrellas provided in room), but this makes them quiet which is a plus.Some... More
