We took our friends for Sunday lunch and were shown to a table in the conservatory, as we entered you could feel how cold it was and my friend sat there with a coat on, several times we requested the heating to be turned on without any change in temperature. Another table next to us got up and walked out... More

The food at the Black horse is extremely good, the wine selection is extremely good, the ambience and atmosphere is extremely good as well.... The menu is interesting with very good a la carte choices all beautifully cooked and well presented. The staff are very friendly and helpful and an open fire is always so welcome on a grotty wet... We stayed here for an initial 3 nights as a base for visiting relatives in the Maidstone area in August. The rooms aren't in the pub itself but were in a separate accommodation only 30 or so metres from the rear of the pub. The rooms were pleasant, clean and spacious. Certainly all that we needed. The pub had great... More

We visited the Black Horse Inn to celebrate a 60th Birthday. We found the accommodation warm, clean and comfortable and the only thing I can say we missed in our room was fresh milk. The breakfasts were superb, the staff friendly and efficient and the evening meal was very good. The only disappointment was that they close the rooms in... More

Having booked a table over a month ago for my friends bday we turned up they denied all knowledge of the booking even though I'm really particular when booking such things we ordered drinks 30 minutes later no sign of drinks over a hour later we eventually got to a table then was told there was no aubergine starter so... We stayed for a Friday and Saturday night, based on the fact that the Inn was near to Leeds Castle which we wish to visit and also to do the North Downs Way/Pilgrim Way walk. We had one of the cabins up very near to the Inn, called ‘Rose’. We found the room clean, quite light and modern. We were... More

We stayed here for four nights end of September. All staff were very helpful, check-in very straight forward and we were made welcome. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The only downside regarding the rooms is that they are not attached to the pub by a covered walkway,(umbrellas provided in room), but this makes them quiet which is a plus.Some... More

We stayed all day for a wedding. From the moment we arrived till the morning we left the staff and service were faultless! The checking in was easy the rooms clean and comfy and food both in the pilgrim suite and pub area was superb. Recommend highly for a wedding venue.

Had our wedding here and can't say enough good things about the service we received. People going the extra mile to make everything special. Rooms were great for a wide range of guest types, all allocated based upon needs. Food good quality, pub has lovely atmosphere. Will enjoy visiting again for years.

The food was good and reasonably priced , but the rooms very verty 'economy' with spongey beds and definitely no frills. I was a little disappointed with the value for money of the B&B . Lovely location but sorry wouldn't stay again.
