This hotel is just off I 80. It is small but the room was very large and clean. Bed was comfortable. Quiet, no freeway noise. Typical breakfast with cereals, breads and waffle iron. No fresh fruit. For the nightly rate it was a very good bargain. Would stay again. The only drawback is lack of dining options nearby. Local bar... More

Although the breakfast was mainly highly concentrated carbs, no fruits and the coffee was water-down, my room, was large, clean (which is very important to me), but the drain in the bath tub was running slow; no smells, and polite but distant crew, for the price it was a good choice very close to downtown for "antiquing"

This past thursday we arrived at Walnut, Iowa for the Antique Festival. We had a reservation and arrived at the hotel around three o'clock. Our room wasn't ready, so we went into town and spent several hours looking at the shops and having dinner. When we arrived at the hotel at 6:15 our room still wasn't cleaned! The manager didn't... We stayed here on our way home from Arizona. The room was comfortable and quiet. There were some nasty winds that night and after a long day of driving, we were upgraded to a king bed even though we didn't ask. It was a much appreciated gesture and we would stay there again. The only thing is there wasn't much... More

Everything was very pleasing. The room was extremely clean, as if still new. The bed was comfortable and we will stay again. The breakfast was very good, biscuits and gravy. Only drawback was no more coffee pot in room.

Econo Lodge's are usually made from the worst of the worst old motels. I think this one is no different. But I didn't see too many signs of that. This one was clean enough to meet my tough standards. The showers, sinks, and fixtures looked new. Front desk and dining areas were modern and spacious. Bed clothes looked very clean... More

We usually stay in fairfields or comfort suites. I was really glad a room was available to accommodate us & our three little kids. The hotel manager was personable and took great care of us. There was another lady traveling whose car broke down & the hotel maintenence guy was giving her excellent advice on getting towed across country. We... More

The staff at the Econo Lodge were excellent! I was just able to get off the interstate and find this hotel because the blizzard of Sat. Dec. 11 was in full force and visibility was zero with very high winds and bitter cold. When I arrived about 3pm, I was the only car in the parking lot, but as you... More
