The Lion and the Lamb B&B in Vinton, Iowa is a wonderful old Victoriam home located in a quiet residential area. The hostess, Rachel, is a warm, welcoming Christian woman. Our rooms were well furnished and one room, Mattie's Room, has a huge jacuzzi tub that was just great. Rachel also does Murder Mystery dinners, which are very popular. We wished we had scheduled one of these after seeing the props and hearing about them.
The breakfast was a hearty country style one, served in a timely fashion by the staff. Rachel stayed in the room to visit with us and answer our questions. This B&B should be seriously considered as a place to stay by people visiting the nearby Amana Colonies in Iowa.
