I'm giving this hotel an above average rating based on the cost. We used one of those coupons you get at rest centres so this was a very inexpensive place to stay. We just returned from a stay at the Super 8 Hotel in Urbandale and were VERY DISAPPOINTED with the hotel accommodations. BOTH the shower and sink drains in our room were badly plugged. For the price, this is a good overnight stop when driving through Iowa. It is close to I-80, there are chain restaurants nearby. You can drive less than 10 miles from the hotel and find any standard chain restaurant or store that you find in franchise America. The hotel was clean, although the hall had the institutional smell. The pluses here are that the front desk staff was friendly, and you can get a 20% discount off your total bill at the Benningans in front ( including liquor!).
