Storm Lake Iowa - beautiful scenery and Lighthouse Inn the perfect spot to stay. Clean rooms, close to everything you'd want to do there. Literally right across the street from the water park so the kids could get there easy. Rooms - clean! The owner is a great guy who literally goes out of his way to ensure you have... More

I was traveling to Storm Lake for a party and was only going to stay over nite and the price at the motel/waterpark was over $200.00 and I had no one in my party but me and that is to much for a couple of hours in the room. Went to the Lighthouse Inn across the street and could not... More

Nostalgic décor sets this motel apart from the rest, from antique style furniture to an old-fashioned TV set. There was a desk with a mirror over it, a fluorescent light to read by over one side of an oversized bed, a counter and a lazy boy chair. Venetian blinds cover each of the three windows and ultra suede bedspread and... More

Not a brand new hotel or a big name hotel. Its an older hotel, but is very clean inside, and very cheap reasonable rates. The owner is very nice, all the rooms are on the ground floor. Perfect location right across the street from the waterpark.

My four granddaughters and I stayed at the Lighthouse Inn and had a great time. The owners were very friendly, delivering us muffins each morning and the last day popsicles. My granddaughters loved the opportunity to shoot hoops and play on the extra bikes. Our room was large with three beds and plenty of space for lots of girls. The... More

The pics on website are not true or show what the rooms are like. And yes---Not again. I would suggest that people checking into hotel, look at rooms first with a fine eye. Outside was flaking off paint, inside was clean but very very old. Not like pics. Door knobs came off, Tv didn't work , air conditioning had dust... More

We spent just one night in Storm Lake, and had to bring our small dog along. The owner was friendly, offering directions and tips about the town. The room was outdated, yes, (we actually found it to be quite quaint, very different from chain motels) but very clean. Ours did have a fridge. The price was competitive with all the... More

The place is way outdated. The only "positive" is that you can park near your room. No daily housekeeping, no coffee, no breakfast, no laundry, no soda, no ice, no vending at all. Housekeeping is once a week, I believe, and you'd have to drive to a laundromat to do your clothes. The smell of Tyson looms over the entire... More

Positive: Owners were friendly and helpful. Close to the lake and water park. Negatives: For the price they charge, the rooms were okay. Our had a wall-mounted light that came out of the wall above the bed that we would hit are head on if we tried to sit up in bed. Rooms do not have microwaves or refrigerators. My... More
