This was our first visit to Cenla. It wasn't like a high end RV park with paved roads and nice landscaping nor was it wooded or grassy with more spacious sites like a state park. The campground is on a lake but there is no beach and the only access to the lake is via a path to a fishing... More

A fantastic campground not to be missed when visiting Okoboji. The staff was very helpful, the grounds were clean and well kept, and the bathrooms were the best we've ever seen. 5 stars! We will be back :)

We came up to Okoboji for a family reunion from Nebraska. Half of us were camping with tents and rv's and the other half up the road at the Methodist cabin areas. The lady's at the counter were very nice and gave us the rules of the campground. We were tenting and were able to be very close to the... More

We only had a 30 amp unit $26.50 but they gave us a 50 amp site $32.50 and charged us for it. I went down to the office and told her. She said, "You pay weather you use the 50 or not." I asked if she had any 30 amp sites. She said, "I don't recall." There were several when... More

Although you are about a block from a busy highway, in most parts of the campground you would not know it. This campground was clean. It had lots of mature shade trees. Although most sites aren't on the lake, it is just a short walk to the lake and the fishing dock is available for everyone to use. There is... More

We had a very enjoyable time at Cenla Campground. It was very well kept and we had an excellent site by the water, which we totally enjoyed. It was nice to walk out on the dock in the morning and drink our coffee by the water! It is a very quiet, pretty lake. The owners/managers were very kind and understood... More

We always have a great time when we stay at Cenla. We fish, kayak, and sometimes fall in the lake it is next to. My daughter swims with friends when the pool is not too busy. We have had family drop ins that are alway welcome and quiet campfires to end each night. The staff is busy but friendly. My son... More

We like coming up to Cenla campgriund. It's a quiet campground and very relaxing. They do have rules but they aren't to hard to to abide by. They have a nice pool. They also have a nice dock and a nice place to clean fish. We enjoy coming here.

I felt like I was camping on the highway right behind the used car lot. Our site had a big mechanic shed (morton building) right next to it. My kids were unable to ride their skateboards or scooters due to the roads being gravel. They were asked very rudely to leave the pool since they didn't have an adult with... More

This was my first stay at Cenla. It was okay. Liked- pool, lake, and site., Dislike- playground, rules, and didn't feel real welcomed. I liked the pool, however I did not care for the hours of operation which were too short for summer evenings.( It closed at 6PM on Sun-Thurs.) I liked the playground equipment but I very much disliked the rocks as the... More
