This place is a good value for what you get. Although it is a bit old and could use a face-lift, the place is rather decent. It's not really close to anything, though. You definitely need a car to get around town, and to the lake. But I can't say this place is a bad place to stay. Pretty decent!

Polaris Industries Victory and Indian line of motor cycles are build in Spirit Lake Iowa. Went out to visit the factory with 29 other Indian cycle riders. Other places in town started at 160.00 a night, a Super 8 wanted 200.00 Too much for a place to sleep over night. The Northland Inn is an older Motel type establishment, but... More

We were in the Lake Okoboji area for a company party last weekend. Rather than spend $160-200 per night, we stayed at Northland Inn for less than half the price. The room did have that smell, but aside from that it was fine for a short stay. The coffee was great. We didn't check in until 8:30 p.m., but the... More

We've been going to the lake for years and stay at my folks' timeshare, but always feel like we want some "couples" time to do some things alone when that week is up (plus a longer stay at the lake is always a plus!) A great value for the money, a fun little picnic area out back when you don't... More

We have stayed at this hotel the last 3yrs for the Victory Rally, always been clean, the owners have gone out of the way to make our stay great, the rooms have always been clean and comfy. Looking forward to staying again this Aug.

This place is very easy to find. Price is decent for this time of year in this location, but any other place, it would be ridiculous. The room smelled like wet dog. I carry a concentrated room spray in my car and sprayed it everywhere and the smell never went away. This place needs some TLC. They really need to... More

Spent a Friday night here before a bike ride. Close to lake and bike trails. Nice people, comfortable rooms, great value. What going to the lake is all about.

I was at the Northland Inn Motel during off season (March) and still got great service along with excellent value. The room was clean in this well maintained vintage motel. Some road noise, but it never woke me up. The self-serve continental breakfast was better than average and well stocked. I was in the car on this trip, but the... More

considering what we spent for the room, our stay was very good. when you take a shower, you can feel the softened water! easy to find location, and our room was very clean and comfortable. The owner was very accomodating, and he assured me they are open year round, in case i wanted to come back and go ice fishing!
