My daughter and I took a road trip to Amana in May 2013. We did not have reservations so just checked out some of the lodging choices. One b/b didn't answer their phone so looked elsewhere. If all else failed we were just going to stay at a motel near the outlet mall. Fortunately as we were driving we noticed... More

Stayed at Babi's over Maifest, 2012. Ruth and John were superb hosts. They were hospitable and knowledgeable about the area; really involved with the community. Breakfast was always more than required and done well. TV in the room would have been nice, but then you'd miss out on evenings on the patio or in the big house. Don't bring a... More

I had never stayed at a B&B before Babi's. The accomodations were immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast served was not only delicious, but an experience. I will be back!

We stayed here based on previous reviews--they were right on! Babi's B&B and owners John and Ruth rank as one of the best and most enjoyable B&Bs/hosts I have ever stayed at and met. Their knowledge of the local area was incredibly helpful, and they customized their recommendations to the types of activities they thought we would enjoy. Their suggestions... More

Just back from a splendid weekend at Babi's B&B. Ruth and John are the most gracious and generous B&B hosts you could hope to encounter - warm, friendly, informed and helpful - and their breakfasts are heavenly. Will definitely revisit!

Our first visit to Babi's was four years ago while attending the Cajunfest over Memorial Day weekend. This year we returned with two other couples who were equally pleased with their stay. Ruth and John are wonderful, and accomadating hosts. They provide a wealth of information on the area, it's history, attractions, and places to eat. Ruth's breakfasts rank right... More

We arrived at Babi’s Bed and Breakfast which lay at the top of a long dirt driveway surrounded by serene green grasses with little trails ebbing off here and there into the fields beyond. The owner, Ruth, kept an impeccably clean house and informed us about just everything and anything that you would ever want to know about Amana. Near... More

For several years my husband and I have spent a spring week-end in Amana, IA. Over the years the chain hotels we had used have become less and less enjoyable for us. This year we had the wonderful experience of staying at Babi's Bed and Breakfast. John and Ruth Kolp are naturals. They make you feel at home from the... More
