We stayed here as three adult sisters working on a book project. The Anne of Green Gables cottage was perfect for what we needed. I was very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the twin mattress was in the kids' bedroom. You can see parts of the original brick of the home in parts of the renovation, and the wood in... My cousin and I grew up in cities 100 miles apart. We spent our childhood holidays together in St. Ansgar, Iowa, while visiting our grandparents who lived there. The miles between us have grown, but we still like to get together as often as we can. We decided it would be a fun way to relive our old memories by... More

We stayed here for one night, this could have been a great time. We called for supper reservations after make the room reservation and we were told that there was no supper. After we checked in and got into our room we were told that we had to warm up our breakfast in the morning as there was no one... More

First, I am sorry that your experience at the Blue Belle Inn was not what you hoped it would be. I am glad that you found some part of your experience enjoyable. However, I do think it is only fair that those reading your review be told the rest of the story. This reservation was made online only a few... More

We stayed 2 nights at the little cottage.... perfect for 2 couples! Our friends from Sweden were delighted with the cottage. We had an evening meal there one night - very good! And both breakfast meals were great! The attention to details is wonderful - in rooms and for dining. The hostess as well as staff are great - We... More

What a fun evening at the Blue Belle Inn! An evening of incredible food plus a very funny, entertaining murder mystery - right in the dining and parlor! The staff are very attentive to our comfort and the details of our stay.

Comfortable, cozy, accommodating with delights around every corner. We brought our family and to the children's surprise they got to pick the room that suited their tastes and personality from a host of themed rooms. Breakfast exceeded our expectation with gourmet French toast and accommodation for my diabetic restrictions. After our overnight, we wished we could have participated in one... More

This is a beautifully renovated Victorian. With its attention to detail, those of you who love Victorian will adore it! The food was excellent, the bed was very comfortable. The staff is very helpful. For those folks who posted here about there being too much "stuff" everywhere - well, that is what Victorian houses were like! I loved the way... More

What a beautiful Inn this is! Sherrie, the owner has a way with food, atmosphere, and guests! The Inn is warm and inviting and the food is scrumptious. If you find yourself in this neck of the woods stop by for lunch and an overnight stay. It is worth it!

I had the small room, with an unattached, across the hall bathroom. There was ABSOLUTELY no where to put my things - not in the room, not in the bathroom. There was a closet..., but so what? No where for me to place my suitcase to unpack. The bathroom did not lock, unless I was inside it, so couldn't leave... More

This room is indeed our smallest room, and was the only one available when this guest called since it was holiday weekend and there were several weddings in the area. It does however, have a good sized closet with several nice hangers and a large, built in shelf for a suitcase, and two small nightstands, each with space for guest... More

It is a great place for tea or lunch and the breakfast is very good. Architecturally the place is lovely. But so crammed with cutsie stuff. Definitely made my husband nervous and it is difficult to find a place to put your own stuff. Also the air conditioning went out while we were there, but even when working, it just... More

Because we are in a Victorian house, we have different rooms with different methods of heating and cooling. Sherwood Forest, Green Gables and Heaven to Betsy have window air conditioners that can be set to the guests specific temperature preferences. Green Gables and Heaven to Betsy also have new windows that easily open and close. NeverNeverland, Secret Garden, Plum Creek... More
