For a village restaurant come Pub this is a great addition to a village with numerous below par dining establishments. Focusing on Steaks and Sunday dinners this is a great place to go for an impromptu meal or a family lunch. The cooking is unpretentious and wholesome and after numerous visits as not let me down. Whilst the interior could... More

We stayed at the end of September for five nights. First time in a cottage and it certainly won't be the last. Great to have breakfast brought to us by Pippa each morning. Mark's excellent meals in the Poacher Inn were very good value. Good location for visiting all the attractions in the area.

We, are the wedding party mentioned in the review below. We needed a venue at short notice, that would be willing to do a function for the whole day for us, and the Lincolnshire Poacher Inn was the best we could find within a 20 mile radius. We got a super deal for a lovely day! Drinks on arrival, 3... More

Booked a meal for my partner's birthday, only to be told weeks after the booking that they were kicking us out of the restaurant as they has accepted a wedding - obviously a far more lucrative booking. Will never be back, and will not be recommending to anyone else either.

We stayed for two nights in the larger of the two mews cottages, which was very clean and had all the basics in the kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and bathroom. It was chosen because of its quiet location, and it was very peaceful, enabling us to get a good night's sleep after two very busy days. Pippa brought breakfast... More

Stayed from Thursday-Sunday in the middle one of the mews cottages. Very comfy with 2 double rooms (one also containing a single bed). Has a cosy lounge with TV and a good kitchen area to eat a good breakfast, provided by our bubbly hostess, Pippa, or bring in a take-away dinner from quite a few eateries nearby. Own private parking... More

Recently stayed for a couple of nights and booked this venue for convenience to a local golf course. At £70 per night it sits at an average price for bed and breakfasts. The accommodation cottages are reasonably presented though could probably do with a bit of a make over. The menu is titled Great British Pub classics - though Cajun... More

Pippa called me on the Sun aft re my arrival time, to make sure someone would be on hand to welcome me. This was a good sign and I was not to be disappointed. The ensuite bedroom on the first floor and the ground floor lounge/kitchen represented good value. I have paid substantially more for inferior accommodation. I ate in... More
