Me and my partner visited here for the carvery after good reviews about the food, upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly lady who showed us to our seat, when going to order drinks (ourselves) it took a while and when it came to our turned to be served we asked for a j20 and a tea, sounds simple... Superb atmosphere. Decor is fantastic. The food was delicious and good value. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Lots of space. Plenty of parking space & easy to find. Highly recommend the red lion, our friends have tried the Sunday carvery and said that was fantastic too.

Can only comment on the Sunday lunch as not stayed in the rooms which are detached from the pub itself. Called in on the off chance close to them finishing serving lunches, large car park was full which is normally a good sign, however plenty of variety left. Service was very good, table clean and not jammed into a corner.... More

Last weekend we visited here with our friends. The chalets were very clean but old fashioned and the towels were very hard. There was also a huge dustbin outside our window which surely could of been located in a more discreet position. On entering the pub it was very dated and sad and needed a refurbish. The staff were very... More

Price of B&B is very steep for the facilities on offer, rooms are very dull as not enough lighting available as one of the lamps didn't work. Only bonus is free wifi. The staff we met were very friendly. Beds are not very comfortable.

Let's start with the good points. Lovely location and nice old pub with character. Accommodation 5/10. Pretty basic. Most things you would need included but not everything worked. Shower door didn't close properly. One of the bedroom lamps didn't work. Bed not the comfiest, stain on blanket and kettle very slow. Bar 6/10. Decent beer but Bar room lacked atmosphere... More

Chanced upon this pub whilst on our weekend travels. Had our evening meal here and it was very nice. Young lady served our drinks and food and was very attentive. Food was good but not exceptional. Good value for what we had. Surroundings were very nice. Overall a nice experience

Our first experience was really bad - after reserving a table (for 4 people), when we arrived we were not shown our table or even offered the drinks or food menu to look at. The only waitress that we could see, did not once smile or acknowledge us and only seemed intent on rushing past us serving other tables who... More

The rooms are separate from the pub and are very clean and well appointed. Very little noise from either pub or car park. The pub is good, basic pub food menu with a selection of real ales, staff are very friendly and helpful. A very good base for touring Lincolnshire or for golfers at Woodhall Spa
