We attended a wedding at the resort and also spent the night in the hotel. As a guest of the wedding we thought everything was perfect. The food, drink, and accommodations were top notch. We are definitely planning a long weekend to go back and take advantage of the beauty of the lake. They have beautiful trails to walk or... More

We were here for three days for a family wedding, the staff were lovely very friendly and helpful considering they were quite busy they always took the time to say hello anything you need, as you were passing. The hotel rooms were clean and tidy and a good size, we had interconnecting rooms, no fridge but plenty of ice machines... More

I gave it three stars because of the location and the views. This place has the the ability to be a five star resort but it does have some quirks that left me wondering who is managing the place. It started with making the reservations. I like to look online, then call in person because often one may be cheaper... More

First of all, I am amazed that the State of Iowa must have spent an enormous chunk of taxpayer money building this resort as well as the hundreds of adjoining acres. Don't states have more important things to spend money on? My wife and I came here for an annual conference. Though we did get a group discount rate, both... More

Conceptually, this is a great place. Unfortunately for the area, they fail to pull off a stay that is satisfying and comparable to the price paid. Good thing for them, there's zero competition. Mir you want to stay on the lake, this is it. In fact, the casino in Osceola is the only destination place I southern ia and it's... More

We rented 2 4 bedroom cabins next door to each other for a family reunion. Enough space for all to gather, the bedrooms and baths were what you would expect at a nice hotel. Enjoyed the water park. It is small and geared for young children but still relaxing. Enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. Reasonable, good buffet. The lodge is... More

Beautiful facility, great grounds, nice restaurant. Attractive room, comfortable mattress.Very relaxing. A couple of surprises - still no fridge in the room. After seeing the online complaints I assumed they would have remedied that. I was also surprised they did not have the usual complimentary toiletries. Bring conditioner and body lotion. They provide shampoo and shower gel. But set that... More

This is our favorite place to stay when we return to the homeland from Montana. It has a clean modern and relaxing vibe. The water park is great for young and old and the bar & patio makes you feel young even if you're getting old. Access to kayaks, bikes, golf, or just walking around the paths help freshen up... More

My extended family recently stayed in a four bedroom cottage, and we enjoyed our experience. The resort over all is very nice and well kept. The waterpark is small and definitely geared toward younger children, but our kids had a great time. We didn't think the chlorine smell was any worse than any other hotel pool. The lake was very... The rooms were nice, and well overpriced. No refrigerator in rooms, so bring your cooler. Their pool facility was small and smelled of chlorine. You could choke how bad it smelled. They have great trails around hotel, if you interested in walking around and looking at wildlife. The boat deck on the nearby lake had plenty boats to rent, overpriced... More
