Nice motel with an excellent view of the main channel of the Mississppi River. The rooms are not fancy so if that is what you are looking for, this is not the place to go. However they were comfortable and most importantly CLEAN. Ours had a coffee pot and micro in it. They do have chairs outside the room on... More

Had a wonderful experience here. managers are awesome.. The night before our stay they even called all over trying to help us find a place so we drove back the next day they were willing to give up there last room to us on a very busy weekend even tho they like to keep one open just in case someone... We were nervous after reading some of the reviews, but wanted to stay on the river. We were so glad we did. Our trip was a "10" all the way! You can tell they care and they wanted to be there for us. We want to come back next year and bring friends! The weekend breakfast was huge and wonderful.

Great little hotel that is thriving on it's location. The managers are trying their best to improve and in the last five years that have done that even as they are on their third set of managers. It would seam the owner has dreams that don't seam to be the smartest priorities. The motel is two fold better than the... More

The staff was very helpful when we checked in. However, our queen bed (room 15) had a depression in the middle so we rolled into each other all night. No hair dryer, no ironing board. The lights next to the bed (near the bathroom) did not work. There was no bar soap. We used the pump soap by the sink... More

The best thing about this hotel is its location next to the Mississippi River. The hotel itself needs updating as others have stated. The bed leaned over when I sat on it. I thought it was going to fall off its frame. The bed was very comfortable and I had a good night sleep, although the pillows were little flat.... More

I have been here 5 times in the last 2 years. I am actually writing this from a third floor room right now. Love this place. Rooms are a bit dated but they are huge and the step back in time just adds to the charm. The views are just awesome (the walkway around the 3rd floor rooms give an... More

We chose this hotel, to the dismay of our kids since it didn't have a pool, because we were only going to be in Mc Gregor for one night. We selected a room with a view of the Mississippi which turned out to be cool since there was a barge going up the river as we were arriving. The kids... More

We stayed August 2nd and 3rd for Country on the River. My friend is in a wheelchair, it was kind of difficult for him to move around the motel. He would of liked to gone behind and sit by the fire pits and tables but there were steps and he could not get to that area. Getting into the room... More

We stayed this past weekend, 5 couples total. Everyone was impressed. The rooms are clean and in the process of being updated. A lot of work going into this place! Slept great!!! Trains are a bit of a pain in the butt, but not the motels fault. The breakfast was AMAZING! Not what we expected for rooms under $100. The... More
