I am originally from Mason City, Iowa. Did not know that the Historic Park Inn Hotel existed. Very unique hotel, our customer service was excellent! Not your usual hotel stay in the downtown area. Frank Lloyd Wright was a beautiful designer. We thank you for an awesome visit!!

Beautifully restored this hotel is not just for Frank Lloyd Wright enthusiasts! Charming and lovingly restored, with nicely appointed rooms. Sitting on the town square it faces a lovely park. The staff is all helpful and outgoing. Visit this gen in a town that will surprise you.

We had anticipated staying here because of the historical significance of the property. Friends had also recommended it. The room was very nice and clean. The problem was the noise! We were on the third floor above the ballroom. There was an event in the ballroom the night we were there. It involved an auction and loud music that lasted... More

Dear mimimiller1, We are very sorry that you experienced a noise issue during your stay and certainly that we offended you in any way. Please accept our apologies but know that we donated our ballroom the Friday night of your stay for a fundraiser with celebrity bartenders and an auction for juvenile diabetes, which ended promptly at 10:00pm. It was... More

Frank Lloyd Wright designed this hotel long ago and it's recently been totally restored. It was very well done! We really enjoyed our stay and seeing his designs. Staff were great! Mixologist Seth in the 1910 bar made great drinks but he also kept us entertained sharing stories of his travels. Malisa (business manager?) was very willing to show us... More

We went to this hotel because of it being designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, which was amazing! More impressive was the service and attention displayed by the staff. Most noteworthy were Seth in the 1910 bar and Malisa who gave us an impromptu tour. They made our stay even more enjoyable by going the extra mile. Thank you for a... More

I just spent four nights at the Park Inn. This was my fourth time staying there. While the hotel is still beautiful there were issues. First, they have discontinued serving continental breakfast. If you want breakfast, you must eat in their restaurant which of course costs extra. This is the most expensive hotel in Mason City and I do not... More

Dear Nicksam, I humbly apologize for your room cleaning and maintenance issues. We will investigate the causes and immediately take corrective and decisive action. We very much appreciate your sharing your experiences. Regarding our decision to open the 1910 Grille’ for breakfast in lieu of a continental offering, understand that the vast majority of our customers found the continental offering... More

My wife and I decided to visit Mason City and see the local sites. We chose to stay at the Historic Park Inn, and it was great choice. Staff is excellent and the 1910 Grill is out of sight, an excellent place to eat.

We had a wonderful stay at the Historic Park Inn. We stayed in room 305, a Queen Suite Sofa Sleeper, with our young daughter. The room as plenty large for the three of us and it was very comfortable. There are many public areas including two decks to enjoy. Sadly the restaurant was only open for breakfast during our stay... More

We are great fans of Wright's work and this was a chance to stay at the last remaining hotel designed by Wright. We had a wonderful stay. The staff was very accomodating and the restaurant was excellent (we ate both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant). I would recommend taking a tour of the hotel. Our docent was extremely knowledgeable... More

We spent two nights in an expanded king room. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable with upgraded linens. We loved the walls of windows looking out onto the park. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The only downside is that internet access is spotty. I would definitely recommend a stay in this lovely hotel. Take time... More
