This hotel is a Frank Lloyd Wright hidden gem. The rooms are wonderful. The staff is fantastic. The facility and parking are great. The only reason for four stars is that one cannot control the temperature but must call the desk for an adjustment. The rooms are a bargain, under $20 over the Holiday Inn and so much better. Luxurious,... More

My husband and I have stayed at Historic Park Inn twice in the past few years. The first time we were interested in the FLW architecture and were so pleased that it was a beautifully renovated showplace. It was a treat in all respects. Sleeping, eating at Grill, listening to the computerized grand piano while sitting in the salon. All... More

I have traveled many place and I have been here before but this will be the LAST time. Horriable front desk and the manager Katlyn was rude. She seemed like she had beter things to do than deal with helping the girl at the desk. Room was dusty, hair in shower and when I pulled back the bedding, there was... More

Dear Kat S, I apologize for the recent experience as you described it in your review. Rudeness and lack of cleanliness are both completely unacceptable and the fact that such occurrences are rare, in fact pretty much nonexistent, as other review postings attest, is not and never will be an excuse. We shall investigate this and make any changes deemed... More

As a long-time fan of Frank Lloyd Wright, I was excited to finally stay in one of his creations. The HPI did not disappoint. They did an excellent job with the restoration and the hotel is truly a gem in this pretty Iowa town. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, and we had fun exploring the many... More

I had looked forward to my stay for several months as I had a reservation in January of this year then had to change it because of a snowstorm. My visit in May was less than what I had expected as there was bad weather making parking a problem, I did not realize the Main Restaurant, bar and grill were... More

I'm a huge fan of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, so I was really looking forward to this visit and it did not disappoint! Not only was the hotel restored to perfection, the staff was very professional and accommodating. So many luxurious touches like the dimming lights and heated bathroom floor. We did not eat dinner at he restaurant, but we... More

Beautiful historic building. The last Frank Lloyd Wright hotel in the world. From the minute you walk in the lobby you feel the richness of days gone by. I enjoyed the restaurant very much too. My room was a little small but had beautiful windows and the bathroom was excellent. My coffee maker did not work and so they brought... More

My husband and I stayed one night here at the end of Feb 2015. This hotel is awesome. We got a decent price and booked directly with the hotel. I was impressed with the service at the hotel. A few days before our stay we got an email saying they were excited to have us, and after our stay we... More

I really looked forward to staying here while staying in Mason City from M-F. I had read a lot about it and so I booked my room. The lobby is interesting, with a really low ceiling at the reception desk. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. I asked a friend about the design of the place and he mentioned... More

Staying at this hotel should be on everyone's bucket list. The foundation did an excellent job restoring the hotel to original design but also incorporating just enough modern amenities. Can't wait to bring the kids here.
