This was the second smallish 3 star all inclusive we stayed in while travelling around Cuba and as the other reviews have said, it's a cheap reasonable hotel where some parts are better than others. And even more reminiscent of 80s Spain than other Cuban hotels! On arrival, w'd paid for a tropical room upgrade but were disappointed with the... More

Stayed at this hotel last fall. It is an average Hotel by Cuban standards. As expected from most hotels in Cuba, the food was very average. Loved the beach and the staff at the hotel who were very friendly. Make sure to tip them (1 CUC or less at a time) and you will get royal treatment.

Having stayed in Trinidad several times and having visited all hotels in this amazing part of Cuba I must say Club Amigo Costasur is the best hotel choice if one wants to stay by the beach... the beach is better by Ancon Hotel I must say, but the hotel is better at Club Amigo Costasur and you can just walk... Finding a resort that feels like home is great for a number of reasons: first of all - your comfort level; secondly - it takes away all guess work as to where you're going. It's a no-brainer for me. Club Amigo Costasur is a small resort - only 130+ rooms. The staff is really friendly (another plus to going to... More

We stayed in bungalows (2 nights) and were greeted by cockroaches, frog in the toilet bowl and geckos behind the curtains. Bungalows have 2 rooms (bedroom and living room) with one air-con each. One of the was broken. Staff in the restaurant was particulary bored and a note "please deposit tip here" must not be serious. When ordering a drink... More

Good: - The hotel is right on the water, we had a beautiful sunset view every night - The beach is quiet and romantic. We had almost the entire beach to ourselves every day - The rooms were clean and the cleaning staff was friendly and approachable - They offered accessible excursions from the hotel through the trip planners at... Summary: Classic 1970's construction, (so I am told) partly (very partly) modernised, a beautiful beachfront location, but a US$9-US$12 taxi ride away from Trinidad. I love the beach (at least a swimming pool) but also love the buzz, music and restaurants in Trinidad. If only we could have found a hotel with a pool in Trinidad. We stayed in of... More
