i have stayed in the fall, while hunting and will stay again next fall. the rooms are clean and reasonable rates, people are friendly and fair, and helpful. it is very quiet, yet close to the interstate, a nice restaurant is next door, it is not fancy, if you want fancy, go to the hilton !

Like a lot of folks, we kept going and going and pushing ourselves farther into the night and had the sudden realization that we needed to rest. Pulled up reviews on here and decided to give it a look. Super friendly staff, clean room and great prices. Would be back if traveling this way again. Free wi-fi

A family owned motel, and nice quiet rooms. Enjoyed the quietness of the area and being able to drive right up to the door. A Super 8 across the road, but I was nice to stay in a Mom & Pop Motel. Not expensive.

We were traveling home to Oklahoma from Duluth, MN and we were going to drive through the night just to get home, but we found ourselves exhausted. Every place we called along the way was booked. We ended up at the Chief Lamoni Motel. They gave us a room at 2 AM, and we were grateful. The room was clean... More

Was headed to the Super 8 across the street but so glad to have found this place instead! For starters, Sandy at the front desk warmly welcomed me with a big smile & happily let me see my room before paying. It was a single, spacious and very clean. Furnishings were dated but in good repair; there was a mini... More

We tried for over 50 miles along US 35 to find a motel with outside doors. We are on our way home from Dodge City Kansas to Woodstock, IL, and Bethany, MO was half way. No motels with outside doors. We have golf clubs in our car and have been on the road for over 3 weeks with some other... More

This little motel has both indoor and outdoor entrances to your room. The rooms are updated and very clean. This place is a great value for the price ($45). I will definitely use it again. My wife and I stayed here in March of 2012.

This place is OLD and run down. Carpet was worn, bedding was old and dated. I must admit that is was clean enough to sleep in, but I would not want to stay here again. It looks like a place dirty where transient construction workers would call home because it is cheap and care free. Regarding the rating of "poor",... More

We never intended to stay at Chief Lamoni. It just happened to be raining when we got to Nine Eagles State Park, so we chickened out. But we can’t complain. Chief Lamoni is quite a bargain. Not close to anywhere, true, but the price is great for a large room and very clean accommodations. We’d recommend the rooms in the... More
