There are not many hotels where I can say I have stayed in 2/3 of the rooms, but I can truthfully say that here. Easier when there are three rooms! This time I stayed in the "Vermeer" suite, with pictures of the artist and other reminders in the room. It is HUGE, and the only room that is on street... More

We rented all the rooms at the Cornerstone for a family gathering. The rooms and suites were perfect and wonderfully done. The furniture and wood work were amazing. In addition to the awesome lodging the town of Lake City was very friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning to Cornerstone Suites when in the area.

I had the opportunity to stay at the Cornerstone Suite for 4 nights over the July 4th weekend as I was visiting family. The suites are so nice and meticulously cared for. The trim, wood work and furniture are just amazing. I stayed with my two kids in the larger of the suites and it was the perfect space for... More

This is a tiny inn with just three or four rooms or actually suites. It is certainly unique. Each suite is given the name of an artist, I was in the Larsson suite, named after the famous Scandinavian painter. This suite is apparently smaller than the other one upstairs which was sleeping more expensive. I do not have either a... More

What an amazing experience!! Where to begin..the painted walls were beautiful!! The furnishings were beautiful and well created. There was wireless internet and a nice variety of cable tv. A small kitchenette was available with a dorm size frig. The bathrooms, HUGE! There's a great little coffee shop just next door to this B&B with fabulous breakfasts and soups at... More

We recently had a family get together in Rockwell City. We found accommodations at the Cornerstone Suites in Lake City. The Suites are located in the top floor of an old bank building. I can't say enough about how charming the rooms were. Each room has a theme based upon a European painter. The rooms featured both artwork reproductions by... More

This little inn is thoughtfully and charmingly decorated! I loved the modern fixtures and bright colors! We stayed in the Larsson Suite, it was huge, and could have easily accommodated a pack-and-play if needed! Our room included a living room area, nice sized bedroom and roomy bathroom. In my opinion, this is one of, if not THE nicest place to... More

This B&B will exceed your every expectation in both the woodwork and trim and artistic and declaration of the walls. The owners are finished carpenters and a wife with strong artistic selection which is elegantly expressed in this wonderful B+B rooms. Google there website and you will be astounded but what's available in this small western Iowa town
