We had a family reunion on July 4th, and 14 family members stayed at the Grand Anne for a long weekend. Years ago, we used to live in one of Keokuk's nice 100-year-old homes with a river view. WOW!!! What a fantastic experience. I have stayed at the Grand Anne 3 times now and each time I just hate to leave!! Rick and Cretia are such great hosts, the mansion is beautiful. This is hands down my favorite B&B. The mansion is fantastic, filled with beautiful antiques. The rooms are huge, with awesome views. The town is filled with wonderful architecture. The inn keepers, Rick and Cretia Hesse, are the epitome of Mid West hospitality. Area tours by these life long residents can't be missed. I have stayed all over the world... more
