This hotel is in bad shape. It used to be pretty decent when it was a different hotel under different ownership. It is now smelly, dirty, and run down. The hotel staff is very nice but the place is a bit run down. The 2nd night we stayed we got back to the hotel & as soon as you opened the outside doors there was the nastiest smell in both the lower & upper corridors. It was still there the next day! Also, the rooms had a stale smoky... more
This place is so bad it is like a movie. It fills up for graduations at the local college, but beware. It is a one star hotel for a reason. There are better places up in Des Moines. more
