The staff is very pleasant. The hotel is beautiful and has a very comfortable feeling. Just remember do not park on the square. I did and received a parking ticket. The hotel paid. I strongly recommend this hotel compared to others on the highway which do not have the character of this hotel

We spend two nights at the Hotel Greenfield with a large group of friends. The owners have done a wonderful job restoring this historic building. They retained a lot of the original materials, such as the flooring and ceilings in the lobby. The upgrades are all nicely done. We had a comfortable room with nice appointments. Sound seems to travel... More

It has been nearly a year since I stayed here, but my wife and I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. My wife was nearly 8 months pregnant at the time and wanting to stay close to Des Moines, we found Hotel Greenfield as a nice getaway before the baby arrived (hence the long delay writing this review). This is our 3rd trip to Greenfield and our 3rd time at the Hotel Greenfield. This time, we were in a 1st floor room as my wife's hip is due for replacement in about 4 weeks and climbing stairs is not in the cards. That is the only negative to this hotel - no elevator for the upper floors. But... More

This was a great find. My wife had this picked out and my thought was, "stay in Greenfield?" YES stay in Greenfield. This was a great ace and we will definitely go back. The staff was great and our room was so comfortable. Wonderful.

Visited for girls weekend and can't wait to come back. The building is simply gorgeous and completely restored. There are only 20 rooms which meant quiet. Front desk staff/all staff were so friendly and helpful. We were given a personal tour. The hotel still use real keys one a gold key chain. Breakfast is light but perfect. We stepped next... More

Not far from major cities, but far enough away to relax. The people and businesses were very nice and the town square was beautiful. Near the airport museum and the bridges of Madison County. Planning on returning again.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Greenfield! It has recently been renovated and is beautiful! Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The bonus was the Olive Branch restaurant connected to the hotel. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We highly recommend the Hotel Greenfield!

We stayed at Hotel Greenfield this weekend for a wedding. The hotel was recently renovated with so much charm and character. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The adjoining resturant the Olive Branch also has great food and service.

Highly recommended! This is a special hotel in a special part of Iowa. Just a few miles from Roseman Bridge and a lovely drive from Winterset. A pristine, well appointed hotel. Great big, clean, modern, yet classic room with lovely furnishings. Very pleasant, accommodating staff. What a value...easily a $200 to $300 a night hotel near any metro area. Restaurant... More
