We look forward to staying at The Lodge when we go to Forest City with our large family group. Located in a secluded wooded area, the views of the river, walking paths and golf course are beautiful in all seasons. The suites are spacious and comfortable, and pool and foosball tables are available for indoor recreation. In the wintry weather... More

Enjoyed ourselves greatly with the easiness of check in to the convienance of complimentary breakfast. The additional cabinstyle building is very private and clean. Beautiful sliding door views and full sized bathroom. Will return next year

I recently stayed here for a couple of nights while moving into my apartment for college. The location is beautiful and secluded, away from the road and nice so it's nice and quite. I stayed in the stable where there are a few nice rooms that are away from the lodge itself. The rooms are little small but are still... More

Thanks Peter. We appreciate your having brought this to our attention. We will get "cracking" on this and make the needed improvement. Our hope is to make the stay of our guests as pleasant as possible... that's the fun and reward of being an innkeeper. We appreciate every suggestion as it will help us realize our goal. More

We had the delight to stay at The Lodge for a special event. We had 10 rooms reserved and everything went smoothly. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. We plan on staying again. Thank you for a delightful stay!

This place is just beautiful and very warm. Bernie is so welcoming and delightful. I was in town for my daughter high school graduation and we had her graduation party at the lodge. All the staff made us feel welcomed and they were so helpful. Bernie even offered to put my daughter grad info on the billboard on the street.... More

This place is a little gem. It is not fancy, nor is it 5 star accommodations, but it is very nice and very quiet. It's a little older, but very clean, and the staff is extraordinarily nice. You won't find better customer service. I will definitely stay here again to help support this small business.

Pleasant and quiet surroundings, let down a little by a faint air of dilapidation, somehow in keeping with the quaintness of the property. We had a suite which was well worth it for the extra space. Very kind gentleman running the place, he gave us a lift to Winnebago the next morning in his own vehicle.

Upon arrival we were immediately delighted by the tranquil scenery. The lodge is positioned perfectly back in the woods, overlooking the Winnebago River and a nice Golf Course. The rooms were very clean and comfortable while being competitively priced as well. The manager/owner, Byron, was very charming and assisted us with all of our needs. There is a nice restaurant/bar... More

What a nice relaxing place to stay. Nice wooded area. Walking trails Golf course. And the owner is the absolutely nicest fellow! I suppose some folks will whine because it has wallpaper on the walls (which I know makes real estate agents and some folks gag - I know because I am presently trying to sell a house which has... This hotel is in a beautiful natural setting, and very handy to the amenitites nearby. It's old, however, and it needs a lot of work but our room was comfortable and the staff was pleasant and helpful.
