We just returned from a wonderful getaway with friends at the Hancock House. Chuck and Susan are very welcoming and gracious hosts who make you feel right at home and enjoy sharing a good laugh. The house and furnishings are exquisite and we loved learning about the home's history. The holiday decorations were beautiful. We stayed in Mr. Hancock's room,... More

My husband and I spent one night at the Hancock House. If you have only one night to do something special I would highly recommend a stay at Chuck and Susan's B&B. Wonderful hosts, They welcomed us to their home and made sure our stay was worth coming back again. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant in this beautiful Victorian... More

We stayed at the Hancock House over Thanksgiving and celebrated our anniversary. We were able to spend 4 nights at the Hancock House. Chuck and Susan were fantastic hosts. They were so welcoming; they even provided us a bottle of sparkling wine (or truffles) to celebrate our anniversary. Breakfast and accommodations were wonderful. Our room even had a working fireplace!... More

The Hancock House was very friendly and Chuck and Sharon were amazing. The breakfasts were were fantastic. We stayed in the ballroom suite and it far exceeded our expectations. It had a huge jacuzzi tub and the room was so spacious. What made the whole trip worth it was our hosts. They were so nice and gave us great ideas... More

Well, we just had another fantastic stay with Chuck and Susan at the Hancock House. What a warm feeling to be so far from home yet feel so at home the moment we walked in the door! We relaxed a little and took advantage of the in-room Jacuzzi tub. The library Suite was very comfortable. The other guests were engaging... More

We recently stayed at the Hancock House B & B and loved the rooms, each decorated more beautiful than the next. Chuck and Susan couldn't have been more accomodating for our group of 8 people. Breakfast was delicious and all you wanted to eat, pancakes were homemade and flufffy and light, toppings were a great variety, Can't say enough about... More

My husband and I stayed at the Hancock House B and B for our anniversary. Being our first bed and breakfast experience, we were not disappointed in the least! The breakfast each morning was delicious and was accompanied by sharing stories with other guests and the innkeepers. We enjoyed the evenings by playing games in the parlor and relaxing on... More

The Hancock House has a balcony overlooking the city and river and is a great place to relax and converse with fellow guests or all by yourself. I recommend a day trip to Galena. The rooms are decorated and furnished in an old style that takes you back in time. You will marvel at how this house was built in... More

Every time we're in the beautiful city of Dubuque, we make sure that at least part of our trip includes staying with Chuck and Susan. The house itself is a breathtaking trip to an elegant and simpler time. Combined with the hospitality, kindness, and humor of the owners, this place is not to be missed. The owners go above and...
