We stayed here overnight while our son played hockey at the Mystique Ice rink. What a beautiful home and very friendly gracious hosts. Wonderful breakfast. Will definitely stay here again! More

My wife picked this place on the internet. We're glad we stayed. There is a great view from the Hancock House of Dubuque and the river. The couple running the Hancock House couldn't have been more hospitable. The breakfasts were great. The room was very nice and comfortable. I would highly recommend this B&B when in the area. More

My husband and I stayed here for one night on our road trip down the Mississippi River. This house was one of the most beautiful we saw on our whole trip through the states. We didn't get off to a great start as we stuffed up our drive times and arrived much later than expected. The place was a little... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in one of their suites and we absolutely loved our stay. Chuck and Sue are phenomenal hosts and were very gracious and helpful. Their breakfasts were unique and very tasty. The bed in our room was so comfortable, we wanted to take it home with us! Chuck and Sue plan on... More

This B and B is charming, with a great view out over the town of Dubuque. The Library was perfect for my mother, who has trouble climbing stairs, and she found antique children's books on the shelves. This room has a jacuzzi tub as well. My husband and I stayed in Mr. Hancock's room, which has a nice, deep clawfoot... More

This was our second stay at the Hancock House and it was as good as our first visit. This house is decorated with wonderful antiques and has the ambiance of the Victorian era. It's like being a time traveler but with modern conveniences of course. The hosts are very gracious, friendly and are attentive to making your stay an excellent... More

We LOVED the Hancock House. We were coming to Dubuque on a retreat with 10 colleagues from our work. When another B&B accidently double booked us we turned to the Hancock House. What a great place. First of all this is probably the nicest B&B, in the nicest neighborhood, with the nicest view in the whole city. They cut us... More

My wife an I decided to go to the Hancock House to celebrate our 20th anniversary weekend. We really did not know what to expect as we had never stayed in a B &B before. In fact we were a little nervous about staying in someone's house. In spite of the wet weather we enjoyed the warmth of this fantastic... More

What a fantastic B & B! This beautiful old Victorian house is set high on a hill in historic downtown Dubuque, which means it has the best view in town. We sat in the hot tub in our 3rd floor room and gazed out across the Mississippi River (that's right, you get the view and the hot tub at the... More

Returning to The Hancock House is like coming home to visit with family (but only better!). Chuck and Susan are the most gracious hosts. They open up their wonderful home to you, feed you fabulous breakfast and then spend time chatting with you. We love spending time at The Hancock House to get away from the busy lives we lead....
