Scary Place. Good location. My wife and I were here for our anniversary and the "Americas River" music festival. We were immediately taken back by the outside, old, like something out of "Taxi Driver". The inside was the same way, not dirty, just Scary ? Like walking into 1972. We traveled to Dubuque for a party at the Star Restaurant and Lounge (great!) and waited until the last minute to secure a hotel room. All other hotels in town unexpectedly were booked due to a sports tournament, so we ended up staying at the Canfield Hotel. It is located in downtown Dubuque near the Mississippi River.
