What a dump! Stinky, rundown, and rude staff. Bathtub didn't work and rooms and hallway are filthy. We stayed here during the 80/35 music festival July 4-5 in a suite. This hotel was perfect for us. The festival was 3 blocks away and we were within walking distance of many bars and restaurants. Hotel Fort Des Moines is a charming, older hotel connected to all the dowtown buidlings by a skywalk. We were there over the weekend and had an excellent experience.
