My husband and I booked this hotel for a romantic weekend getaway Easter weekend. Apon arrival there was no bellman which we thought was odd. Valet is $20 a day (not bad at all) however you can just park your car yourself in the same place valet does for free on the weekends. The staff was pleasant while checking in but... More

Stayed here because other hotels in the area were full and was really disappointed. Service was poor and rooms really outdated. More

This place is a wonderful weekend getaway for a special occasion or just to celebrate being a couple. The staff is very helpful when choosing a room - they found that the rate for the room we wanted was actually cheaper on the Romance Package, so we arrived to roses and Champagne in our room - and they are warm... Stayed here for two nights recently. Great big room with a fireplace! Very quiet, though the hotel did not seem to have a lot of quests the nights I stayed. The bathroom was beautiful with twin sinks in a long vanity with plenty of space. I would have enjoyed a shaving/magnifying mirror. I believe the rooms are different sizes, so... More

A group of friends went to DesMoines to see Wicked and stayed for the first time at Suites of 800. It was elegant when we walked in, we were greeted in a very friendly and open way. When we got to our rooms,, they were spacious and clean. The bar off the lobby was intimate and the service was great.... More

We spent a weekend in August at the Suites of 800 Locust and it was very nice. We had not stayed there before and we were impressed. The rooms were very large and bathrooms were much bigger than some other downtown hotels. They have a nice breakfast in the morning and we had a few drinks in the lounge also.... More

Don't count on using the internet, super slow & sometimes non existent. Nothing worse when your planning on doing work. Breakfast was poor, beds were pretty comfy, but no window looking outside...not good. More

Good sized rooms, comfy beds, yummy breakfast included, parking right across the street. We have stayed here several times and enjoy the exceptional, friendly staff. The rooms are comfortable and nice without being over done. In the mornings the chef will whip up a waffle or omelet to order - included with the room. Parking right across the street with... More

Wehave stayed several times in this nice, renovated historic boutique hotel. The staff is always efficient and friendly and the complimentary breakfast is great with yogurt, fruit, pastries, assorted breads and made to order waffles and omlets. We have stayed in several room types, all of which have very comfortable beds and a mini fridge. The firepalce suites are especially... More
