My 3 year old son and I stayed at the Dug Road Inn two nights and loved it!! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a big screen tv and a small dining table and chairs in a cozy little alcove. The bathroom was GORGEOUS, with a separate shower, heated marble tile floor, clawfoot tub and nice robes. Our room had lots of closet space and even a washer and dryer(!). The house itself is absolutely stunning (no doubt due to one of the owners being an interior designer), the seating and communal dining areas are very comfortable and though all five rooms in the house were booked during our stay it never felt crowded. The owners were very friendly, especially with my young son, which I very much appreciated. The breakfast was EXCELLENT! They really took a great deal of time and care to make a tasty, nutritious multi-course breakfast with fresh, local and organic food. The location of the house is perfect, adjacent Decorah's great walking/biking trails and just a block away... more
