My girlfriends and I rented the entire house for a girls weekend getaway in January. We couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations. The house itself has so much charm. It was so nice to have so much space to hang out for the weekend. We loved that each room had its own bathroom and the beds in all... More

We stayed in the Royal Suite; what an awesome room! The owners did an amazing job turning a useless attic into something really unique. Great location within walking distance to downtown. Very friendly hosts, great people to chat with over breakfast. Definitely will be returning. The other rooms seemed nice, but if the royal suite is available it is worth... More

Stay in the Queens Chamber for a good nights sleep. Nice decor. Their website says they take credit cards but they don't...inconvenient for a business traveler. A nice alternative would be PayPal. Walking distance to most restaurants in town.

Good: pretty house, soft beds with pretty linens, nice showers, and a nice location for walking to downtown Decorah. Bad: Our room was cute but not functional at all, with two beds were really crammed into it, no closet or hooks to hang clothes and no place to set up personal items in the cramped bathroom. REALLY BAD: The weekday... More

Thank You your feedback. The convenience of having two beds in a room offers a frequently requested option for our customers. While it does make the room a bit cramped, it makes a great option for customers that want to share the cost of just one room. Our experience with weekday breakfasts is so unique as each customer has different... More

Stayed with a party of 10 using 5 rooms. Can't say anything bad about the rooms except my bed was extremely soft and I like hard beds - so I did not sleep that well. We cooked our own meal on Friday night using the grill provided. Poor quality grill but it worked. We also made our own breakfasts, I'm... More

Thank You for taking the time to provide feedback to continually improve our service. When we offer whole house rentals it is the choice of the customers to choose whether they would like breakfast included. Many families choose to go with a less costly option for a variety of reasons. Examples that if staying for a wedding, the group is... More

What a surprise for us - a last minute opportunity to stay in Decorah - home of Luther College. Didn't expect quite the beautiful stay that we had at the B&B on Broadway. The top floor, complete with turret room, was incredibly decorated and equipped with the top quality things - a spa shower, huge jacuzzi tub, large screen TV,... More

Having stayed at many bed & breakfasts across the country, I found this experience to be one of the worst I have ever had. While the furnishings and decor were in keeping with the Victorian era, the hospitality was very sorely missing. We were traveling from quite a distance and were told that check in was promptly at 4:30pm. When... More

As the other reviews have pointed out, this is a beautifully restored Victorian home and very tastfully furnished. The bedrooms are comfortable and also nicely furnished, but not roomy, The baths are quite small, except the top floor, where everything is extremely large and suitable for a family group. We were there mid-week, so Bonnie, the very friendly and accomodating... More

Our second stay at the B&B on Broadway was even better than the first (July 2012). The 1910 Victorian home, located in the center of town is beautifully restored, handsomely furnished and rooms well equipped. Weekday breakfast is casual, continental with heaping bowls of fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, toast, cereal, something for all tastes. The weekend breakfast is... More

Decorah is a small town in Norttheast Iowa founded in the mid ninetenth century by Norwegian immigrants. The town still keeps a very strong Norwegian style by the architecture of its building and houses. The Bed and Breakfast on Broadway is a 1910 house recently renovated to accompdate 4 extremely comfortable bedrooms, decorated and furnished in a bourgeois early 1900... More
