Clean & spacious room, very comfortable bed, pillows & fluffy towels. Plenty of hot water & excellent water pressure. Flat screen TV & WiFi. Microwave & fridge in room. Friendly family run motel. Only negative was no hair dryer or coffee pot in room, but fresh coffee available in lobby daily & coupon towards breakfast in adjoining restaurant. Would recommend... More

There aren't many choices in the area, and you get what you pay for. Our room was about $80 for a Saturday night. The rooms are fairly spacious, include a 40 inch TV, desk, fridge, microwave. Wifi is free and works well. There are no hair dryers in the rooms but one was available from the front desk. Our biggest... More

We booked our room ahead of time as the reviews seemed fairly positive. We enjoy staying in hotels that aren't chains. There aren't a lot of hotels available in this area. This hotel is right beside the highway. From the outside, the Southfork Motel appears to be well-maintained. The lobby was comfortable, tidy and there was coffee available. The lady at... More

We booked a room here after reading that they had remodeled there rooms, low and behold our room hadn't been remodeled except the bathroom. The room was clean, the security of the room lock a little marginal and the remodeled bathroom was set up for a very short person as I could kneel down and still be at the level... More

I was riding north on US Hwy 63 (like one of the posted reviewers) in a very heavy downpour all day long from St Louis. After looking around Bloomfield for the choices in rooms, I decided to give the South Fork a try. I was GLAD!! The room was very large, clean as a whistle, and had been recently renovated.... More

Northbound on US Hwy 63 from a heavy rainstorm in Missouri, we wondered how much further we would have to drive to find nice lodging for the night. THEN, the storm was over, the sky brightened, and we entered Bloomfield, Iowa, to find the Southfork Motel awaiting !! This family-owned motel was just the perfect ending to our day, providing... Great spacious rooms, completely updated, & nice tv's. The best part is the food at the restaurant. Bar is very expensive on drinks. The service was for the most part pretty up to par. I would definitely stay here again. What I really liked is the owner had his phone number posted if needed. You don't see that often. You could... More

This was a very nice hotel. Very clean, staff was helpful and very courteous. The resteraunt was also very good. Had some very good food there. Only thing i didnt like was that you have to ask for a refrigerator and microwave, other than that very nice and would recommend this place to others

My boyfriend and I stayed here after a long time on the road and the people got us a room at 3 in the morning and were very kind and accommodating. The room was nice and so were the beds. There is a restaurant attached to the motel and it looked like it was recently added. It was very clean... More

The last time we stayed in Bloomfield, we tried the other motel. Now we are back at Southfork. The rooms are bigger, the beds are more comfortable, and the TV's are larger. Our room even had a recliner. The Motel and the Restaurant have had a fresh rehab which is really upscale. They also have a restaurant and pub in... More
