This was our second time staying here. We absolutely love the furnishings and the old German furniture. Our first stay, I took over 200 pictures. It is an old place and needs some updates, but I don't get why everyone is having a fit. The girl at the front desk was extremely nice and the gentleman was nice also when... More

My fiancé and in laws came to stay for a night. It was disgusting! When we were checking in we accidentally parked I guess where we were not suppose to and before we could even get out of the car a short older man came out yelling at us telling us how we could not park there. Got checked in... More

My husband and I looked forward to our stay at The Lodge, as we had stayed there almost 38 years agao, had been to several special occasions there, and had dined there multiple times in the past. The hotel is run down. There were few people staying there during vacation season. We understand that the hotel is due to have... More

The lack of street lights or a sign made it hard to find the place.Once I did find the dark entrance to the hotel my car was greeted by pot wholes that resembled craters. At the front desk I was greeted by two young ladies. One was very sweet and I believe she was being trained and the other was... More

We stayed here during the Quad Cities Air Show. Driveway is a little hard to find, as it's not marked very well. Once we pulled in I felt like we were pulling into the Tower of Terror at Disneyland. The place looks shady, and to top it off "Welcome to the Lodge Prom from Hell" was on the sign out... More

We booked a room here because everywhere else was full. The price was very reasonable for what used to be Jumer's, a local landmark. The approach did not give a first good impression. The landscaping has been neglected and we missed the entrance because it wasn't signposted well. However, when we checked in we were pleasantly surprised. Staff was very... More

My husband booked a room here via a travel site as a surprise for me for Mother's Day. We live locally, but we stay at a hotel occasionally for a nice break, & to take our kids swimming. We got there & checked in, dragged as many bags as we could carry, & both of our kids (who are both... More

Returned to this hotel 32 years after we visited it for our 5th year wedding anniversary when it was Jumer's Caste Lodge. It is currently in process of being re-sold. And that explains its very "tired and neglected" appearance. So sad since my memories of this place were quite different. However. I must say, our room was neat, clean, and... More

I grew up in the Quad Cities and never stayed at The Lodge before now. I was always told how expensive they are and spooky. My fiance and I and I decided to splurge and just stay for Valentine's day to get out of the house. We are very glad we did because we got the 4 post Queen canopy... More

The Von Trapp family would have been right at home here. We loved this hotel that was built like some Austrian lodge. Lots of old furnishing and a lovely fireplace down in the main lobby. We didn't eat at the restaurant but it had an interesting atmosphere. The rooms were nice and clean and so was the bathroom. I checked... More
