We stayed at Cayon Inn in McCormicks State Park ...for five wonderful days. Everyone at Inn was wonderful, food was great. It's a great place for a family vacation, back to nature .... One of the best vacations in years.. Need to go horse back riding 👍 Can't wait to go back !

We stayed in one of the first floor queen-bed rooms on a Thursday. The grounds are well-kept with colorful plantings. The registration lobby seems recently remodeled with new carpet and a fresh, organized look ... but a bit of a musty smell. The small lounge area is comfortable and cozy with leather sofas and prairie-style lighting. It’s a pleasing look... More

Husband and I spent three days and two nights for our anniversary. Wonderland of birds and natural features. The restaurant on site has good food and services, best part is watching the birds at the feeders right outside restaurant windows. Please keep in mind this is a historical building not new. Common areas are lodge style and very comfortable. Rooms... More

This is a very relaxing, quiet and peaceful setting and inn. If you are looking for luxury and modern this is NOT the place for you, but if you want serenity and beautiful nature this is the place. We had a second floor room with a refrigerator and microwave, sofa, chair, table and two beds. It was roomy and allowed... More

Our four day vacation was interrupted by a brief electrical storm on Monday at 4:30pm. They had lights,in the lobby but no air or lights in most rooms. They claimed the state claims it was an act of God and there was nothing they could do. We felt the at least could have called in staff to get flash lights... More

We took our 8 year old grandson to McCormick's Creek State Park (Indiana). We stayed 4 days and 3 nights at Canyon Inn. We reserved a room with 2 beds for the 3 of us. This is an historic property at a State Park in the woods - so do not expect a high-end, glitzy-glam hotel. The room was comfortable... More

McCormick's Creek, and the Canyon Inn have not always been my favorite of the state park inns. However, having just been to another that is really showing its age, the Canyon Inn was very nice. We had a big, clean, comfortable room. Everything was in good working order. We really enjoyed the pool and park. It was a nice trip!

I stayed here for a business trip, 1st week of June and was really pleased with my experience. For someone used to staying in chain hotels by airports and factories this is a real treat - quietly nestled in a state park, surrounded by woods and nature. The only noise was from birdsong - lovely! The hotel was clean and... More

Spent two nights at the Canyon Inn at McCormick's Creek State Park, in Spencer, In. The Inn is very old but has everything you could want for a nice getaway. The park is beautiful and the hiking trails are great. Very well maintained all around. This was going into Memorial Day and the park was very full. Never felt crowded.... More

We always enjoy our stay at the Inn no matter what time of year. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The dinning room is a nice place to eat. Get a table by the bird feeders and watch the wildlife as you dine. Sit in front of the cozy fireplace and rock while you read or take a nap.... More
