If you are ever going to any Indiana University events (we were there for graduation) and find the hotel rates exorbitant, this is a good choice if you're not fussy about the room and food. The room was clean but small. The bathroom is tiny, and the showerhead is pretty awful. Be sure to bring your own hair conditioner and... More

The inn shows its age. It could be charming, but instead is mediocre at best. The furnishings are old and stained. The beds are uncomfortable; we tried both queen beds in the room. The grounds are nice- it's a park. The restaurant has a beautiful setting with a window looking out into woods with bird feeders that lure all kinds... More

Positives are that it was easy to find and the staff were helpful. the downstairs area with the fireplace was relaxing. the bed was tiny and rather on the hard side. the bathroom is very tiny!! It is a place I would stay at again, but the Wifi was really bad, but I guess if you are going for the... More

This is a wonderful getaway for any occasion. We really enjoy staying here at all times of the year. The restaurant staff are professional and efficient. The food is always great! Rooms are super clean and the beds are nice. We sleep well and leave relaxed!

This was our 2nd trip to Canyon Inn, and we'll be back! We've stayed at 5 of the 7 Indiana State Park inns, and Canyon Inn tops our current list. The beds were comfortable, the room nicely appointed. The hiking was spectacular, even in winter! Staff was extremely nice and helpful. This inn has the best food of all the... More

My husband and I stayed at Canyon Inn in November. We had come down to visit family for the holidays. I very pleased with the presence of the inn. Great atmosphere. The room was very nice. We had two very helpful and friendly housekeepers Sara and Sonja. Made us feel at home. Thank you ladies for that! I loved every... More

My husband and I stayed at Canyon Inn for 2 nights. Our room 117 was clean, roomy and well appointed with a king bed. It had the exhaust fan next door; the sound was audible but not disruptive to our sleep. We had a flat screen TV and a view of the woods behind the inn. Janet managed the main... More

This was our second stay at the Canyon Inn. This time we got a room with two queen beds on the second floor (228). The room was nice, with country style quilts and a window overlooking the woods, but this particular room is located above a huge exhaust (see photos), so there is a constant noise which sometimes becomes really... The Martinsville High School Madrigals had their annual retreat here this year. To begin with, McCormicks Creek State Park is my favorite state park. It is an absolutely beautiful place to visit. Having the Canyon Inn here is an added bonus. We had double queen rooms and studio rooms. They were clean and well appointed. If you visit, it is... More

The big rooms on the first floor have wonderful views of the outside. The staff was friendly. The conference room is nice sized and accommodated our group of 30-ish people easily. My room was decent sized and decorated in woodlands-chic which is fine for an inn in the middle of a state park. The shower produces good pressure and the... More

Brian, Thank you for your recent comments. I apologize for our the Wi-Fi situation you encountered and for any inconvenience it caused. We understand it is bad. We are upgrading the Wi-Fi in our public areas currently, and hope to extend the upgrade into the overnight room areas in the near future. Aside from the Wi-Fi, you made some nice... More
