The location is certainly in a different part of South Bend, but the staff was very helpful in making our stay in South Bend great. The provided us with maps and a proper orientation to really enjoy the city as well as the things to do that they recommended. The floor plans are interesting but we really enjoyed the stay... more

Room was ok, but not clean at all and had a weird smell. Luckily we were only staying 1 night. Our room was on the ground floor of one of the houses (few different houses, around main hotel). Breakfast was ok, but not a lot of variety. I would not stay here again. more

My husband and I stayed here for a week while my sister had her baby. Prior to our arriving, everything seemed fine. We booked through the hotel directly. We arrived at 5pm and was given a key to the suite. The front desk clerk (Samantha who is actually a Manager) was rude. She didn't notice us for several minutes because... more

South Bend is supposed to have 250,000 people, but I not sure where they all were these past few days. We stayed at the Residence Inn for a campus visit to Notre Dame and enjoyed the location. However, I didn't see many other places to pick from while driving around South Bend. They must be on streets in another part... more

A multiple night stay for business turned into an average experience to a horrible one when a burglar visited this property during my stay. I was one of 3 cars that had the driver side window shattered and all valuables removed in April 2007. It is hard to fault the hotel for things such as this that are out of... more

After a week of corporate travel, this location was nice, but a little on the expensive side. Better stated, they charge the Embassy Suites price, but they are not in the same league. The room was clean and comfortable and they provided breakfast in the price of the room (nice buffet style.. very decent). There also is a game room... more

I have stayed in this motel many times. It is in desperate need of an upgrade. The beds are soft and worn out. The rooms are clean but poorly designed. The service is poor as well. We have stood at the desk in the lobby for 5 - 10 minutes waiting for the desk clerk to appear. One weekend, there... more

Our group of 6 women stayed Labor Day weekend while attending Blueberry Fest in Plymouth, IN. The check-in was completed quickly, and we proceded to our room, a suite. Upon walking into the room, we were greatly satisfied with the looks of it, two queen beds and a sofa bed, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. The rug had just been... more

We had to be in town for a baseball tournament and found rooms here. We had a great time at this hotel. The furnishings are very nice and comfortable and the bed linens were very nice. The ice maker in the fridge was wonderful to have since we were there on the hottest days of summer 2006. The staff was... more

This Residence Inn follows the format of this Mariott brand pretty faithfully. It's in a weird location in South Bend. Certainly near the University (no more than a five minute drive) but is situated on an out of the way street in a funkier part of town. Somewhat isolated, although downtown South Bend is no more than a five or... more
