This motel is so old and so poorly maintained that it makes a stay there unpleasant. The toilet was wobbly, the tub drain did not work, the TV was old and barely functional' There were many examples of shoddy, crude attempts to repair woodwork, doors, etc, but it only added to the overall dilapidated appearance. The comforters were so stained... more

We booked this room for a football game weekend at Notre Dame University. The room was in horrible condition. There were all sorts of stains every where including the bathroom. So, it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. While I understand rates go up during football weekends, I think the amount we paid was... more

We reserved a hotel room for November 21-22, 2008 at the Knights Inn in South Bend, IN. My credit card was charged the full amount prior to us arriving. ($316.38) When we got there, the room was in terrible condition. There was a draft coming in through the door, as temperatures outside were in the 20's. The floor had leaves... more

This was the worst hotel experience ever! Peeling lavender paint greets you at you enter your front door. Incidentally, the door doesn't seal, so any rain, wind, etc comes right in. Old, worn out carpeting that wasn't vacuumed in ages causes you not to want to take your shoes off. The bathroom had peeling wallpaper throughout - the fixtures looked... more

We changed our travel plans at the last minute and called ahead and booked this place by phone. Due to the inability to check trip advisor, we had the worst hotel experience we've ever had. All of the other reviewers comments about mold, filth, bugs, disgusting mattresses and bathrooms are true. It appears that these rooms are only sold to... more

We stayed at the Knights Inn November 2, 2007. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but canceled the second night because the rooms were so bad. The one room had mold on the shower curtain and the other room had spiders, an odor and the heating/ air conditioning unit didn't work. I will never stay at a Knights Inn... more

This hotel does not care about its customers at all. The people who work there seem nice but the owner is a dictator who only care about making money and not about being a decent person. The owner prohibits you from canceling a reservation when it is during a football weekend within 30 days of the reservation even if the... more

Just this month during; we booked several rooms for our family event that was in South Bend. This “motel” was a cheap and well-situated property. We just need a place to put our heads and the employees were than helpful. I would recommend this motel to anyone who wants an inexpensive night in South Bend. more

It was a hard lesson learned. My friend, our two 6 - year olds, and I stayed there for 4 days during the AYOP championships held at Notre Dame. We have never been to the South Bend area, so we weren't sure where to stay. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot of this run down dump, we... more
