This Marriot really disappointed me, the hotel is tired and in desperate need of renovation. The rooms are small and have very low popcorn ceilings. Also there was blood on our shower curtain, and ants on the bathroom floor. Overall ewww!! The staff was friendly and we were able to get a late checkout - which was appreciated. Also the... more

As a bride getting married in the area, I chose the South Ben Marriott as the "home base" hotel for our guests. They did an exceptional job keeping me up to date on my room block and keeping the rates at a discounted level for my many guests. The staff was extremely helpful in handing out welcome bags to everyone... more

I am a Marriott Rewards Member and so I stay at Marriott whenever I can. The South Bend Marriott is an average Marriott. I was happy that they had wireless, which I frequently complain about other Marriott's, but they still charged almost $14 a day. Business travel hotels need wireless and it needs to be included free and I will... more

Smaller, well appointed room. Upon check in, the staff was very friendly and efficient. Overall, a decent stay although, several hotels within the area can provide a similar level of service and room comfort for less price. more

Bed Bugs. I left the hotel with multiple bites. Check in was pleasant. Room is small and dark. It might be the best hotel in downtown South Bend, and convenient to the College Football hall of fame. But there are better hotels within 5 miles. more

I was a guest at the South Bend Marriott for one evening in April 2008. The entrance just off St. Joseph's has rather limited parking and I did not notice a valet stand. Fortunately, parking ) in the underground garage (at $7/day) was plentiful. Check-in was quick and friendly. My room (740) came with a "river view". I suppose that... more

I recently stayed at the South Bend Marriott for one night, and I was very pleased with the service of the staff. They had a lot of customers when I checked in, but they were quick and accurate with everything. There were other times that I was in contact with hotel employees, and they were very helpful and courteous. The... more

Stayed at the South Bend Marriott for a wedding in December. Experience was very good. Value was fantastic for a Saturday night! Had an interesting room that overlooked a large glass atrium, and had a view of the College Football Hall of Fame. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in South Bend. more

As this was my first overnight stay in South Bend I can't say how this hotel compares to other choices in the area, but I can say that I was glad I stayed here. Location is ideal, easy access in and out off of state route. Near pubs, restaurants, music venues and museums. On site parking was $8, which I... more
