We've stayed here several times and every time is terrific. This last trip we stayed in the carriage house which is removed from the main house but every bit as charming. The breakfasts are always delicious and the welcome they give my family is heartwarming. Amazing place run by amazing people.

Exquisite old home. The decor, all the finishing touches were terrific. We loved the little kitchen/pantry area where the hosts kept freshly baked goods and various drinks for the guests to enjoy whenever you felt the urge. The following morning breakfast we family style in the dining room; the food was excellent and prepared as people came down. The bed... More

As soon as we arrived we were told that we could upgrade our room at no charge, which turned out to be great with a whirlpool tub. Everything was very nice and clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast good. The other B&B I stayed would not allow you into a kitchen area, but The Oliver Inn let you partake... More

Wonderful home feeling. Beautiful sitting areas in the house and grounds. We had dinner next door at the Studebaker Mansion. You can walk through out the mansion with a printout of the family history,a must !! Checkout their email for last minute deals,20% off. It was very clean, quiet and friendly. We stayed on the second floor, Clem Studebaker room.... More

We loved Oliver Inn and will stay again the next time we're in South Bend. The hosts, Alice and Tom, made our stay so pleasant--and they are delightful! Food and atmosphere were great, and we especially enjoyed the nearby Studebaker Museum. Loved seeing the collection of vehicles from Pres Lincoln's carriage to mid-20th century cars. CM

I had booked a local hotel in South bend but,on a last minute hunch I cancelled the reservation and instead, stayed at the Oliver Inn with my husband and our three daughters. My husband tells me that this was one of my better decisions! The house has an olde worlde grandeur which the owners,Alice and Tom lovingly preserve. The rooms are... More

I have traveled so much and didn't realize how generally poor customer service was these days - until our stay at The Oliver Inn. We truly felt like family as we dropped off the youngest of our children to begin his freshman year at the University of Notre Dame. We were in need of some TLC and we got that... More

A wonderful historic BnB in South Bend. My sister and I stayed for a few nights while visiting relatives. Alice & Tom go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms are lovely, the beds are super comfortable, and the breakfasts are divine. Tea, coffee and home-baked goodies always available, too! We loved it and... More

This was our first stay at a B&B and Alice and Tom were wonderful!! The Inn is over 120 years old and beautifully maintained. We stayed in the Charles Studebaker room which had a working fireplace (although too warm for that), and hugh king size bed. The dining room is very elegant and Alice's breakfast spread is to die for,... More

This was our first visit in South Bend and at Oliver's Inn. Alice and Tom are wonderful! The breakfasts are made from scratch, the french toast is velvety smooth. The breakfast kabobs are unusually delightful. Sausage and pineapple what a combo. The room that we had was inviting. My husband had ordered the pampered package, chocolate, roses, sparkling juice, and... More
