I spoke with Alice to make the reservation and she came to know that I was the featured speaker at a professional meeting. Upon arrival, she quickly recognized my professional colleague from South Bend, and greeted both of us. Soon, as I was checking in, my baggage disappeared (Tom helped spontaneously.) to my room! Very friendly ambiance of a home,... More

Spent the weekend with family at this gracious inn in South bend. Quaint rooms and pleasant company. Knowledgeable hosts about history of inn. Good breakfast and snacks available all day. A bit pricey for a bed and breakfast. Many rooms have whirlpools and separate showers. Discounted cards available for the Tippecanoe Restaurant next door- and you will want to take... More

We had a lovely time at the Inn. Innkeepers (Tom & Alice) were wonderful with local information and recommendations (restaurants, museums, and carriage ride). Great hosts; very nice breakfasts. A welcoming change of pace from the hotel scene. It was our first stay in Southbend, but not our last. We highly suggest you give The Oliver Inn a try!

I've stayed here three times in the past while in the area for business. First time was on the recommendation of a colleague who discovered this gem thanks to his daughter attending Notre Dame U. The second time was on my own and the third time I introduced another colleague to this unique home away from home experience. The owners... More

Our first stay at a B&B. Very warm, comfortable & lots of historic detail. Food was delicious (elegant, candlelit breakfast & complimentary snacks from butler's pantry). Conveniently located downtown & next to Tippecanoe Place. We stayed in Josephine Ford suite on third floor. Very quiet, private & clean. Would stay again!

Great location! Great hospitality! Great attention to detail! We did the three mansions package and were not disappointed. Ann was gracious and hospitable from reservation to check out. Breakfasts were unique, plentiful and delicious! We were impressed with the amenities and the attention to detail. Highly recommended.

We have started staying primarily at B&B's when we travel. The Oliver Inn has been the Inn that we judge all others by for many years. Our most recent stay reinforced our "best there is" feeling compared to other Inns. Alice and Tom go out of their way to make sure your needs are met. Alice creates the greatest breakfasts.... More

I recently traveled to South Bend for a three-day business trip. Flew into Chicago and drove to South Bend. As it was my first time visiting this city, the Oliver Inn was recommended for accommodations. At first I thought it odd that a B&B would be recommended over a hotel, but after comparing prices it was apparent that staying at... More

We had a wonderful dining experience here for an office meeting. The food was excellent and topped off with a homemade cake with the most phenomenal frosting ever, second best only to my sweet Grandmas! After a tour of the rooms I really wish we could have stayed the night. The rooms are very well done and it feels like... More

We were expecting good things from The Oliver Inn but the reality exceeded expectations. The house is beautifully maintained and decorated and the bedding is ultra luxurious. There are so many wonderful touches in the bedroom and bathroom. The innkeepers are so friendly and hospitable. I am gluten free and all sorts of delicious treats were made especially for me.
